i hope all of you guys get in. NYU is def one of the more under-rated dental schools in my opinion. They seem to have a very good program.

I spoke with Dr. Mejia last Monday when she let me off the waitlist and she told me that she was going to be out of town for a while after Wednesday. My advice to you for the time being would be to try to contact Helen Dowler (until Mejia gets back).

After Dr. Mejia gets back, you should try to write a letter of intent to the adcom stating that you will 100% go to their school should you be let off the waitlist. I think at this point, they want people 100% to commit to their school and if you are that enthusiastic about it, hopefully it will make a difference when Dr. Mejia speaks to the adcom on your behalf.

I just got in this morning. Dr. Mejia called and asked me if I wanted to go there. So I just sent the deposit over night.

I didnt have a chance to ask any questions about class size and stuff. I was a bit too excited. But I definitely got the idea that there are seats open.

I interviewed December and was waitlisted.

I sent 2 letters via mail and about 2-3 emails.

yeh me the same.. i checked with them in late April and they told they'll be reviewing the waitlist soon.. i mean they might be full by now but will be people withdrawing in May/June..right?

Yes its full for now but I'm sure there will be people withdrawing, so don't give up hope!

Yes I spoke with someone in admissions today and he stated that they are deciding now whether or not to select anymore students. I asked if I should go ahead and reapply for the next cycle and he said yes....🙁🙁 But hey, 2nd times a charm right?👍

hi, for those of you who are waitlisted and are still waiting for a call from dr.mejia, I wanted to let ppl know that i got a call in the morning and got off the waitlist.. finally after getting on the waitlist since last december!! so I guess this means the class is not full and the waitlist movement for May/June has started...? I've waited for this call for nearly 5 months so those of you still waiting, i totally know how it feels like to wait.. i truly wish good luck to everyone and lets keep our fingers crossed!

p.s. i've sent them a letter of interest and she mentioned about it when she called, so i guess that helps.. and deposit of $2500 was asked to be ssent overnight. i had my deposit made to other school so i had to call and withdraw from that school and of course, give up my $2000 tho.
