Hi Guys!!
I am heading to Pittsburgh for an interview( Advanced Standing Program) next week. How do they test you in the preclinical exam?
If anyone has the experience applying there and getting acceptance please let me know. How do they test you in the preclinical exam? Please let me know if any of you are familiar with this.

Generally the interview, college tour and lunch is all over by 1 pm or so. you could always skip the lunch if u have to make it earlier to the airport. the only advantage of having lunch is u get to talk to some of the students.

and is it true that nyu takes people even with low scores.as long as you can pay and that the standard of education is not good?????????now who wants to pay for a lame education.no doubt it is ridiculously expensive,can anyone answer plz???????????????

Blacktooh: If you have an outstanding NBDE Score,TOEFL & GPA then I think NYU will definitely consider you even if you apply very lately. NYU looks for good GPA also, probably some of the early applicants did not get the call because of low GPA or some other reasons, I think they may get the call in the next batches.
Compare to CA Schools NYU is not very expensive, definitely standard of education at NYU is good compare to many other dental school in USA.
It's all your personal choice where do you want to go for your education. All the very best for your admissions.

Congratulations on ur good score. I dont think standard at NYu is low but thatz totally my personal opinion. If the standard is that low they would not be having soo many applicants and a class strength of 110. As far as the expnsense goes itz expensive coz itz a 3 yr course intead of 2 yrs , So u have to pay an extra year for education. But i personally feel itz better to grab an oppuunity rather than wait another year coz the competition is going up every year and u never know if u get in next time.But u know whatz best for u. Inorder to get into a schools so many factors may come in to picture, like Score,Experience in home country in USA, Research etc, Everyone will have thier own positive things, I'm hopeful to get admission this year, wherever I get in I'm going to join, I do not think waiting for one year is worth, going through the same stress.

I attended that interview and received nothing yet.It might take 2 to 3 weeks to hear something from them.
