hi all,

i am starting this thread for individuals who got acceptance in NYU.PLEASE KEEP US INFORMED.It will be useful for so many of us waiting to get a response from them.

i havent heard anything yet!

one of the candidates who was with me on jan 6th interview has got acceptance letter from nyu.congrats to that candidate and for the rest let us wait with hope

i know one person too. who had the interview earlier and got accepted.

Ihad interviewed with NYU in October(had requested them to schedule an early interview for me due to personal reasons) n got an acceptance letter in first week of Dec....but i am not joining.

I was just curious, why are you not accepting NYU?
 
how does NYU send acceptances? Is it by priority mail or regular snail mail?

I was waitlisted last year and received my acceptance in the month of December 2004. I am not joining however.
Congrats to those who got accepted and best wishes to all who are waiting to hear from them. 👍

Hi,

I have my personal interview at NYU on march 3.Could anyone give details about the interview process?the thing is i am planning to book my airline ticket and the departure time from NY is at 4pm,and i was wondering if the interview process would be over by 2 pm at the latest?thanks for u r help.

I am heading to Pittsburgh for an interview( Advanced Standing Program) next week. How do they test you in the preclinical exam?
If anyone has the experience applying there and getting acceptance please let me know. How do they test you in the preclinical exam? Please let me know if any of you are familiar with this.

Generally the interview, college tour and lunch is all over by 1 pm or so. you could always skip the lunch if u have to make it earlier to the airport. the only advantage of having lunch is u get to talk to some of the students.

Blacktooh: If you have an outstanding NBDE Score,TOEFL & GPA then I think NYU will definitely consider you even if you apply very lately. NYU looks for good GPA also, probably some of the early applicants did not get the call because of low GPA or some other reasons, I think they may get the call in the next batches.
Compare to CA Schools NYU is not very expensive, definitely standard of education at NYU is good compare to many other dental school in USA.
It's all your personal choice where do you want to go for your education. All the very best for your admissions.

my statistics are:89%,263 and 3.67.is that good?and i was wondering if 89 is accepted in upenn and boston ?????????plz reply trv or anyone there????????
btw trv i am new to this sdforum.what are you upto????????are you also waiting to get into some school.i have also applied to upenn and bu .but in the last week of january.haven't heard from them yet!!!!!!!!!! 🙁

Hi ,
Congratulations on ur good score. I dont think standard at NYu is low but thatz totally my personal opinion. If the standard is that low they would not be having soo many applicants and a class strength of 110. As far as the expnsense goes itz expensive coz itz a 3 yr course intead of 2 yrs , So u have to pay an extra year for education. But i personally feel itz better to grab an oppuunity rather than wait another year coz the competition is going up every year and u never know if u get in next time.But u know whatz best for u. Blacktooth: we share NBDE Score & GPA, my TOEFL score is 257, I do not think any new applicant got acceptance from BU with the score of 89 this year,as far as i know their class avg score is 93% this year. Coming to UPenn not sure what exactly they will look into, but great score always gives you an edge.
Inorder to get into a schools so many factors may come in to picture, like Score,Experience in home country in USA, Research etc, Everyone will have thier own positive things, I'm hopeful to get admission this year, wherever I get in I'm going to join, I do not think waiting for one year is worth, going through the same stress.

I attended that interview and received nothing yet.It might take 2 to 3 weeks to hear something from them.

Does anybody know if nyu people send rejection letters also? They told us to wait for 3 weeks..does it mean that we will be getting acceptance/ rejection letters in 3 weeks or just the acceptance letters?

No healthy teeth,no acceptance letter in my mailbox today.
I am not sure if they send acceptance and rejection letters @ the same time,we'd better ask people who went to the first interview,jan6th.

do u think they will call me for the interveiw.pls post ur veiws. thanks in advance.shuold i call them and ask about the status.
