New York life is second to none! It has everything to cater to your tastes. No one could ever be bored in NY unless you choose to. But don't forget it can be too much for some. New York is a fast paced environment and can be expensive too. But there are a lot of people that come from other states and other countries so as an outsider there will be people who can relate with you. You just have to be open to diversity.
In regards to the attractive forces between the sexes and the talent pool, the water temperature is just right. If the NYU Dental guys/girls are not your type, you can always go to Palladium or Coles (both NYU gyms) or the undergrad campus in Washington Sq., people hookup all the time, at least that was my own experience.
