Did anyone else list all the schools they have applied to on their portal supp application ? And do I just copy and paste the essay question from Aadsas?

No, I didn’t list all, I listed some. Yes, I copied AADSAS answer.

List all. You're applying to professional programs that value integrity. Nobody wants to list all of the programs they applied to/interviewed at, but it's the right thing to do.

@dmahbou and @Happy2349
Dental School admissions have different criteria than UG admissions. Every Dental School (with the exception of Creighton) requires an interview, in addition to LORs and relevant experience.
If we take a random dental school, you will see that it can easily fill up its class with those who have excellent DAT scores and GPAs. Just having stats alone will not guarantee you into any CODA-accredited Dental School, for there are many other components.
That being said, above average stats will definitely give you a higher chance of acceptance, but it's foolish to say that there are safety dental schools.
There are definitely schools that are more competitive to get into. The less competitive schools are the safety schools if you are shooting for a more competitive school. It's not rocket science.

Might be a stupid question, but does anyone know the URL for NYU's DDS curriculum? I have been trying to find it online and I can't find it. I swear I found it somewhere before. If anyone knows how the curriculum is set up or has the link online that would be super helpful!! Thanks

I actually don't recall seeing a proper page for their curriculum, in their webinars they really outline every year of dental school and the courses in it so that might be an option to get a comprehensive view of the curriculum

The link would be on NYU global home but I don't think you will have any access to that unless you are an accepted student but I'm not too sure.

Here is the curriculum for class of 2024.

Thanks! Even if the curriculum does shuffle around a little, it is good to get a glimpse at possible coursework.

Yeah according to previous years threads and their official website, they send out the interviews until March as much late as April. Some of students were accepted even a week right before the semester started. No worries.
thats a good reassurance. thank you!

Does anybody know, how many offers NYU makes in the first round(Dec 15th)?

The interviewer had looked up the cost of tuition at my state school beforehand and asked why I would want to spend over $40k more a year to go to NYU in tuition alone. I thought I gave a solid answer, but still feel like it wasn't enough to overcome the massive cost.

Why? What did you say just curious if you do not mind sharing it

I have no idea why they phrased it like that. It initially caught me off guard, I wasn't expecting someone to actually do their research like that but I understand why they would because it really doesn't make sense financially. I basically reiterated what I put in my supplemental essay to NYU. The interviewer then asked more questions about what I just said from my supplemental essay that I wasn't necessarily prepared to answer, but I think I was able to get a few good sentences together on the fly. I did enjoy my interview, though. Time flew by, I couldn't believe an entire hour went by.

it is hard to prepare everything for the interview and there are always some tricky questions that are unprecedented but as long as you show your commitment that you are interested in dentistry and you can give reasonably answers why you would like to attend this particular school, then you should be good.

any CA residents on here that have gotten an interview ? can you please lmk I would love to ask you a few questions, I am applying next cycle

Does anyone know how to get the scholarship? Someone in last year's thread said he was offered 30k per year.

Why it's so quiet here. It seems like people are not excited about waiting for acceptance from NYU 😂

No idea, I have read that they usually send stuff out sometime in the afternoon est
