Has anyone got the final approval of loan who are joining NYU on H4 visa..i just have got the conditional approval from citibank..its just 2 days left for the school to start and still i have not got the final approval..is there anybody in the same boat?

It is possible that the Bank has approved it and the school is yet to certify that you are a bonafide student and the amount you are asking for is within the limit. Contact the School and ask them. That might be it.

U are planning to join the class of 2006? When did you apply for loan? I am in the same boat as u are, on H4 visa and applying for next year (2006). Please advise what to do for loans, atleast how to start the process and the major hindrances.

The person whom you asked the question has already joined dental school (NYU) this year! And in in US the class 2006 means if someone is graduating in 2006! Someone who will join a program, say NYU advance placement, in 2006 will graduate in 2009 and hence will be in the Class of 2009. hope I have cleared your confusion.

About loan on H-4 there are few past threads you can refer to. Basically you need a creditworthy US citizen or a Permanent Resident as your co-signer to apply for student loan. Good luck.
