hey all..
do u think they view the applications according to the dtae we sent and invite for interviews?
I mean is dere a benefit of having aplied early v/s applyn now

I am in the same boat. Waiting for an Interview call. Got an email of "Application Complete" a month back. Good luck guys! Hope we get an Interview call.

I never got an "application complete" email ( and my I had sent everything in July!) but last week I got an interview invitation.
It's only a personal interview and it should take about half day.
Congrats to everyone that got the email and good luck to those that are waiting.
 
hey guys i hav applied to NYU i got application complete 20 days back, my stats are 83/2.9/106 TOEFL. Do i stand any chance at NYU are shud i repeat part 1 plz help me, i am so much confused

Well, I applied last year with 83/3.3/100 with a year of DA experience and couple of years as a dentist back home. and I was rejected without an interview. but don't lose hope, coz they accepted people with 84, although ur gpa is a little less than what they are looking for.

call them and check last year averages.

Apply thru Caapid ASAP...
then send in all your supplementary material to NYUCD directly...
NBDE releases a copy of your score report only after a month from the date of exam...they take abt three to four weeks to process ur request (only thursdays). so you should send in your request to them ASAp and at the same time inform NYU..If u r lucky, u'll beat the deadline..but try!!!

I called up NYU tday mornin and dey told dey want all material by jan4th and if it comes later dan dat , dey won consider it. So i m nt planning to apply dis year . i had given part 1 on nov 17

Thanks buddy for suggestion, but tell me wat shud i do give the exam as soona s possible or wait till NYU REJECTION or INTERVIEW CALL.

Dear Cooldental,

If you have the time please do consider giving part1 again, do not wait for them to say something. If you are able to go to the interview with improved score it will definitely improve your chances. It is much easier to improve your scores than to just wait for something to happen. As you have already given the exam you would know the areas where you went wrong, improve upon your mistakes and you will surely come out with a competitive score. This is just my opinion sorry if I have hurt you with my opinion. Wishing you good luck.

even my gpa is 3.91, 113 toefl and 90 nbde but i m nt applying bcz ada takes 3 weeks to send score reports. Am I doin the right thing
 
Dear Dr fairy,

I suggest that with a high scores like that do apply , you might loose only a few hundred dollars but in case they do consider you might save an year. I feel you have bright chances if you apply.
 
hey possible,wat wud u suggest fr me? I have similar stats as dr.fairy but only my part 1 is low- 80. but my current grad program gpa is 4.00 and also i have done presentations and won awards and stuff and have 1 yr exp in home country
 
Dear desires,

Your current gpa and resume looks good. As I see things here, each case is viewed as a separate entity by the committee so if you have the time retake part1 and please do apply as we might just loose a few dollars but gain a lot. Be quick with your process as they are already calling out for interviews. Good luck.

hey u dint hurt me yeah. and thanks for suggestin me. i gave in exam in aug and went to india for few days nw iam back. just started studying yest. wil study for 2 or 3 months and give the exam. lets see wa happens. thanku so much. and a the best for u too.
