hello guys
I just recieved a mail from NYU on Sat saying that i has been selected for a personal interview. I'm so suprised by this since i haven't gotten any secondary or paid extra money from this school. Futhermore, i just turned in my application on August 25 and the application reached NYU on Sept 15 and interview letter was sent out on Sep 19. NYU is amazingly fast.
Anyway, im so excited now. This is my first interview.

oh i forgot. My question is that
does anyone of you get an interview from without secondary application, paying second fee and even a photo???? I'm kinda worried maybe they put my name in someone else's interview letter 😀 😀 😀 😉 😉 😉

Don't worry, I was in your situation last year.

I didn't pay the application fee, nor sent a photo, yet got an interview. But make sure you send these things asap. Its nice that you got the interview, congrats, but its better to send them. I was really surprised and thought it was a mistake! NO! And NYU is a great school. Dr. Knowles, is super nice and I am sure you will enjoy your time.

Good luck and if you have any questions let me know.
PS: I re-schedualed my interview 5 TIMES!!!

Don't you worry. You will pay your fee. NYU has you fill out your secondary at the interview, so bring your $$$ and a pic.

Congrats on the interview.

you fill out a secondary while you are waiting for your interview. basically, they want you to write the same thing that you have already included on your AADSAs application. interviews are short (~ 10 -12 min) and 1:1 and just questions and answer fromat. they do refer to your application and grdaes a lot.

the rest of the day is tour of the school, Financial aid stuff and lunch.

good luck to all

My interview was almost an hour!!!

Yeah, I didn't send in my app fee and I received an interview letter. I think it might be that everyone receives an interview from NYU even though they said it's via invitation only (75% of the applicants receive an interview????)....

If that is the case, receiving an interview from NYU doesn't mean much...

I think i read somewhere its closer to 600. I am sure they have 2-3k applications. So thats closer to 25%

actually, i remember a post saying they interview 800, and accept 600.

Also, i have gotten an interview at a different school before i paid so this may be common.

Not close to 75%....its between 25-30%

I've been bugging the admin dept. for the stats from last year and they said it will be disclosed late fall (I'm doing it for you guys applying bec others helped me last year)

As soon as I get the info I will post it for everyone.

Another thing. NYU is trying to raise their board scores...which was very evident in todays bio-chem exam!!!
