I'm seriously considering both schools and don't know which one I would rather go to!

You first need an acceptance letter from both schools before you start contemplating. Planning before then can be heartbreaking if all does not go well.

Manhattan vs Newark
Cost of attendance
Cost of living
Clinical exposure (required number of crowns, dentures, fillings, etc)
Where you felt the most comfortable
It's been said a billion times before, but cost is hugely important. Especially these days. Stare at the numbers. Calculate out how much you'll owe after graduating from each school and then figure out your monthly repayment schedule. Subtract that from after-taxes projected income (maybe 70k?) and that's how much you have left for life AFTER completing the most stressful four years of your life. Consider it. Seriously.

Very valid information. I wish there was a part of aadsas that calculates all this for us. I think the amount of money they reel in every year is far more than enought to copy our documents AND give us a additional tools to know more of the different schools.
One of the reasons why I say cost is not a factor is because I have an apartment in NY already where I live (20 street blocks from NYU), whereas if I went to UMDNJ, I would have to rent a place. So it almost evens it out because of that (although NYU's tuition is still higher).
