Has anyone heard anything from nyu yet? I think they said theyd give out their first round of acceptances in Dec when i interviewed there back in october. but im just curious if anyone who has interviewed already has gotten any feedback. thanks!

I interviewed on the 3rd day of interviews they had. Haven't heard squat yet.

ok nice same here. i think i was actually there on the first day of invites. I guess we'll just have to sit and wait. dec isnt that far off now anyways haha good luck!

rumor downstairs is that a few (2 or 3) special circumstance (exceptionally high marks) students have been given acceptances. This happend last year too around november. The first actual round of acceptances where more than 2 or 3 people get acceptances will be in january, if it goes down like last year.

Disclaimer: i don't work in the admissions office and they are super secretive so take this only as a believable rumor.

I was interviewed there on 10/18 which is pretty early in the process and haven't heard anything yet...What I think they told us was that because it was their first year doing it through AMCAS things were a little more out of order than in the past and that we might hear earlier but to expect mid-december (it might even say that on one of the papers that we were given on interview day--can anyone back me up on that?)...Anyway, they also said that it might be earlier--so I guess that was for the few special people (of which I wish I was one)...THAT would be exciting! 😀
I really liked NYU and hope to hear back affirmatively from them, but I also heard that they are one of those schools who take a few people and waitlist a lot more and so there is a lot of movement on their waitlist...Only time will tell 😛
