I interviewed on Nov. 6th at NYU. Did anyone receive the e-mail today who interviewed in November at all? I noticed most everyone said they interviewed in October. Perhaps they are sending e-mails out throughout the whole week in somewhat chronological order from when they were interviewed?

i don't think they'd lie about something like that, and 80 acceptances is only a fraction of the total they will give out by the time ppl get off waitlists, so no worries yet =D

I really liked NYU too.

I don't know why they would only send out 80 of the acceptances. I know I interviewed around the same time as someone who got the e-mail, so I hope they're going by last name.

Dopa, no - not my 1st acceptance... I started to worry that somehow listing the acceptances would jinx me so I did remove my name last week - but, in my excitement over NYU, I totally forgot & did my usual - come & post on SDN.... so, basically, I'm a dork 🙂 and will proceed to add myself back to the list....

Also, I don't get the "law school" club joke - would you mind explaining? Guess that makes me a double-dork 😉

Husky, how'd you get that sense? My friend called admissions and from what she told me, it seemed they only send 80 this week, and that they'd already been sent.

People seem to still be getting into NYU...so either their checking their email late in the day or the emails have been sent out in separate batches, which lends support to the idea that all of the acceptances this week may not be out yet.

I called mid-afternoonish and was asking about the actual letters mainly and they said that the acceptance notices, emails and letters, will be going out throughout the week..I didnt ask any specific numbers though, so I do not know about the 80 max thing but for example I know that some people received their emails this morning while I did not receive my email until late this afternoon so I would think the emails will probably continue throughout the next couple days and the letters could take until January 5th they said. Hope this helps!

I think that unless Mayo or Harvard come through, or some other school offers me a ridiculous amount of money, I'm going to go to NYU! I just saw myself fitting in there really well when I interviewed. To the other acceptees, will I see you there in August? To those of you still waiting, good !

Dopamine - you are so amazingly awesome you are going to get into so many great schools (and you still might get into NYU, my fingers are crossed for you!)
