Are the lecture notes in pdf or power point format?
If majority of lecture notes are on powerpoint/pdf and the textbook is in DVD format, I am thinking of getting a tablet PC my be very useful. With tablet pc, I will be able to annotate my notes and draw diagram on powerpoint/pdf and DVD textbook. Thanks for answering.

Some are PPT, some are PDF, some are both.

Tablets are popular...rumor has it Mac is coming out with one in two years, I'll be buying one as soon as that happens (if it happens).

so, basic every notes given by the prof are in digital form? If so, I think tablet pc will be very useful. Time to go tablet hunting!🙂

The students that have the tablets are very glad they have them (I wish I did!).

Some students buy the full version of acrobat so they can add notes when the lectures are posted as PDF. (I think it's $99 at the NYU bookstore)

Almost everyone posts in pp format.
Some teachers post pdf's...
and then there are some who still use overhead projectors and handwritten notes😴
