Hey guys,

Quick Question. If one class at the 4 year I'm taking is entitled Organic Chem for Health and life-sciences, and my retake was Organic Chem 1 at a CC , will it be replaced? Does the "For health and life sciences" part matter?

no it has to be the same class. i doubt you could argue that those are the same class. The first one sounds like the nurses version of organic.

The subject matter is exactly the same though? and according to assist.org, the organic chem 1 at the CC is the equivalent of the course in question at the 4 year. Would it matter? Has anyone replaced a class like this before??

Does the 4 year have another Ochem 1 class or no?

First of all, the Ochem for health science will not count toward to med school Ochem requirements...You need to retake the same class for grade replacement, and then take Ochem1 and 2 to fulfill the med school requirement.

This is the track that all pre-meds at this 4 year take however... it also includes lab.

Yes but it is an intro to organic chem and is only 3 quarter units (around 2 semester units for AACOMAS). and there is no lab

Ok..Retake at CC...Send the course descriptions to AACOMAS when you apply.
