I always thought it was pearls 🙂
That book is full of eternal truths isn't it ?

Obama is not your friend.

You are a decades-long trained professional.

You sacrifice your twentieth decade-and-beyond for this gig.

You live in a capitalistic nation. Not a socialist nation.

As a result of your sacrifices, you are a high wage earner.

Obama wants to level the playing ground.

Penalize the motivated/foresighted/assertive/high wage earners

And at the same time, SLASH governmental reimbursement to physicians.

KNOW WHAT THIS IS GONNA RESULT IN?

A TWO TIER HEALTH SYSTEM.

Many physicians will no longer accept medicare/medicaid.

THE CREAM RISES TO THE TOP.

All top physicians will work in institutions where no medicare/medicaid is recognized.

Those institutions will be privately owned.

It is happening current day.

Very interesting POV, Jet.

But, I'll be happy taking care of these awards of the state/country as long as someone else pays the note, if you know what I mean.

I agree. Some people will always "settle for less" than they could get on the open market in the name of service to some greater cause (country, underprivileged, etc). You can criticize their "stupidity" all you want, but it's a choice. I mean, I wouldn't assume a military doc is sub-par just because they chose to work in the military. Not to say it's a perfect system, but if the military can still entice doctors by incentivizing it enough to cancel out the high turnover, it could probably work for a public health care system, too. The trick is finding the right balance of incentives.

I've wondered your opinions on this before, but not worth making a thread, so will just stick it here.

What do you all think of daschle's federal health board, similar to britain's NICE?

Not in Massachusetts, they won't.

And other states will follow their example - it's inevitable. It's political freebie points for any politician who supports makes accepting gov't insurance a condition of licensure.
