figured i'd start a thread to help the new folks out with a "if i had only known . . . " thread. i'll prune it occasionally in the future, but for now just reply and add whatever you wish you had known ahead of time or knew ahead of time that made things easier.
Army OBC:
1. Get your uniforms and boots ahead of time.
2. Drive if you can-- having transportation is nice, and you get reimbursed for mileage
3. Get up to date on your vaccinations, and bring proof of it
4. Take your laptop
