I'm applying for a few jobs at a hospital over the summer (patient transport, emergency room assistant, and possibly phlebotomy) and wondering what to put as my objective on my resume? To gain experience in a hospital setting? To obtain a job with direct patient interaction? I have no clue...

Those both sounds like pretty good things to say. Since you're here I assume you hope to go into medicine. Why not tie those two things together with your desire to be a doctor?

Somethinga along the lines of "I hope to gain experience in a hospital setting working with patients in order to prepare for my future career as a physician."

It doesn't have to be fancy. Simple and straight to the point is great.

Good luck.

I'd also twist it a bit so that it gives them some idea of how you would be useful to THEM.
