I'm looking to apply to grad school programs in the next year and I am working on getting observation hours. I just started at an Inpatient Rehab Facility and was put with a couple of COTA's for the day - learned from them which was great but most grad programs specify that the shadow hours need to be under the "direct supervision" of an OTR. Just wondering if the OTR signs off on my hours if this will be acceptable. The OTR who I met with to start the day does supervise the COTA's. Thanks

That should be fine! I've never had an interviewer question my hours, and who signed off on them. As long as a licensed OTR signed on the hours it should not be a problem.

Thanks much appreciated!
