I will be getting my AA from a local community college a few days before my high school diploma. After it is all said and done, I will have a 4.0 high school GPA and then about a 3.8 Community college GPA. My question is if the dental schools will like the fact that I was able to get my AA done while still in high school. Will that look more impressive to them than someone who took four years to get an undergraduate degree? I know other factors come into play like DAT scores and my other two years of undergraduate. I was just wondering what your thoughts were specifically on the AA. Thanks.

I don't think they care much about high school days. Getting solid GPA from undergrad > associates so work hard your last 2 years.

By the time you graduate from high school you could well decide you would rather join the Bolshoi Ballet.

It shows you are focused. Great job! I wouldn't advertise the fact that you received your AA while in high school. It may call attention to your young age and be a red flag to some adcoms (maturity). A high GPA and DAT score are just the beginning. Enjoy your last 2 years of college. Move onto campus and get involved with campus life. Dental schools are also looking for students who can relate to other people. You need to be well rounded to become a successful dentist. Good luck!

My best friend's wife did that. She graduated community college when she was 17 and wanted to become a lawyer, but now she is an awesome housewife and a mother and she did not continue her education. She was smart not to and she got married to my best friend that makes 6 figures and without her my friend would not be making that much money...
She is the smartest person I have ever known!!!
How does the quote go
"behind every successful man, there is a woman" paraphrasing here, but someone can help with the exact quote
Cheers

What does this have to do with anything?

Haha, realized I was just saying a story without getting to the bottom line...
I guess what I am saying is that it really does not matter if you get your AA degree during high school, it really means nothing and a lot can change when u r that young...
And that's the bottom line
