Just a quick question/thread.

I've been reading the pre-dental student guide by SDN, and I see Ochem Lab (1 year) as a requirement in order to apply for dental school. This is the first time I've heard of this. Is this true?

thanks

Alright thanks. Just one more question.

Would taking 2/3 quarters of Ochem lab complete the requirement? I've read of students only needing to take 2/3 quarters of Ochem lab.

In my school the orgo lab it's only offered for orgo 2 so they would have to accept only one semester in my case.

I'm not sure about that. Seems more likely that you would need to find a way to take OChem 1 somewhere else. Sort of like Howard and their biochem requirements.

I already took Orgo 1, and I really doubt they would not accept that lab because it's actually 2 credits which kinda represents the labs from 2 semesters.

Not sure man, my orgo 2 lab was 2 credits in addition to orgo 1 1 credit lab

Well, I know people who have been accepted to dental schools from my school with only that lab (which is called ORGANIC CHEMISTRY LAB, so doesn't specify 1 or 2) so it's gonna stay like that.

Fair enough then, my school has something similar with gen chem lab. Its really a 2 credit lab but they mark it on your transcript as two 1 credit labs with the same grade
