yeah Ive looked all through that damn book and cant find any. Someone please help. Ill be so glad when this semester is over

Hmmm..... These would seem to be substituted fluorene compounds.
Here's a good web site.

It's different substitutions on the 9 carbon of fluorene, but with a double bond.
So, this is just a guess, really, but here goes in order:
1,1-dimethyl-2-fluorenylethene
1-cyclohexyl-2-fluorenylethene
1-cyclopentyl-2-fluorenylethene
1-ethyl-2-fluorenyl-1-methylethene

There's no stereo consideration for any of them because no chiral carbons and the fluorene is symmetrical.

There's probably a better way to do this, though.

Look up the structures in the CRC handbook. 🙂

I found a better base molecule: fluorenylidene.
So, for the first compound, we have:
dimethylfluorenylidene
etc.
But this is some tricky nomenclature, so again it's just a guess.

I looked on chemfinder and there was nothing quite that specific... But I haven't looked at the hard copy CRC.

where can i find a website that explains or has articles on the preparation of these compounds?
