Hey guys I am takin the oct 17 pcat I have only a couple of weeks to study and am down to crunch time. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to maximize my studying in this short period. I took the pcat in june and did not do that well, below 50 comp. My verbal and reading comp. was the worst. I have the kaplan book along with dr. collins studyguide purchased second hand which seems old but im not sure. I NEED Help I have no idea where to start or how I should attack studying. Please help me

I took it back in June and retaking it again in october as well. I didn't really like the kaplan book because it didn't really prepare me as well as I had hope. I was also reading other PCAt books like Cliff and Barron's. The verbal and reading kicked my behind too.

I head Dr. Collins was pretty good and everyone that studied off that gave it pretty good reviews and got amazing scores. How did you not do so well? How much did you study and how much have you been studying?

I started reading Word fest for some help on verbal and did vocab flashcards as well. I'm trying to increase my study time to at least 4 hours a day because i've been slacking off.

For me personally, this test is not something you cram for. If I were you I would focus on doing good on the January test. Dont stress yourself out too much for the OCt one if you are only giving yourself a few weeks to study.
I do know someone, though, that just read the Kaplan PCAT book the week before and got a 93%.
Either way, you are probably over-stressing for the Oct test and maybe you should consider taking that along with the Jan one.🙂
