Off Post Lodging at Camp Bullis

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
The area surrounding Camp Bullis is all newly developed (<10 years). You are not going to find any bad motels if you stay close. Off the top of my head, there are a brand new Residence Inn by Marriott and Drury Hotel at the Rim shopping center west of Bullis at I-10 and FM 1604. East of Bullis there is a new La Quinta and Homewood Suites near Costco at FM 1604 & US 281. What I would recommend, though, is to see if the Westin La Cantera Resort or the JW Marriot Hill Country Resort & Spa have any rooms at the military per diem rate.

Are you sure you won't be staying in tents on Camp Bullis?

No tents, but plenty of "Hutments". Every bit as cozy as a Marriot....or like an old garage, I forget which. My memory has been a little scetchy from the PTSD I suffered from the stretcher obsticle course. 😀

Thanks. I remember a little driving by for C4. This is tdy w/ likely statement of non-availability and a rental car. Party time.

Few fond memories of the "hutments"
