So I was volunteering when this happened to me

A girl I hadn't seen before was also working, she was on community service duty. I noticed she was kinda hot, she had a really nice body and good face. I decided to talk to her for a little bit to pass time.

Then I went away to do something and came back, and she kind walked up to me and asked if I wanted any "services" done.

It was a really strange feeling to be honest. I never subscribed to the theory of a primitive brain and evolved brain, but in that moment I could tell. It felt like electric shocks in my head, one part of my brain was fighting the other evolved brain. It felt so weird it was like shivers down my body.

She was legitimately hot, and therefore under any other circumstances than that I would not hesitate. But luckily my morality won over and I acted dumb and proceeded to leave.

That was the first time a girl has ever offered that to me. It was the most difficult five seconds of my life ever.

It's hard to describe the feeling, it's like two great tides pulling against each other.

I can't help but feel this was some kind of divine test of my ethics.

😕 Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?

I'd be sure to add this to any PS, secondary or interview you can...

Pics or it didn't happen.

Truth

Also, Ive been watching a lot of grays anatomy lately, so your story didn't really phase me. If I don't get hit on by every nurse and female doctor during as an intern, Ill know Im doing something wrong

I know right, I've been on the other end of asking girls one way or another.

But being asked by a girl. Mind you probably prostitution, but still, biology makes no distinction.

That caught me off guard.

What kind of emphasis was placed on these "services"? Do you watch any Scrubs? You'd know that the easiest place to render services is the supply closet!

u've never been asked out by a girl before? Are girls just super shy where you are something?

We can't all be surgeons HalfListic, be ReaListic.

No I'm just a loser.

My first two girlfriends I pretty much had to do all the work initiating the relationship.

If you're the party/bar type it's not that rare. I was more the library/lounge type in college.

Which means..? you studied in the library all weekend lol? sorry i guess I have different words for stuff I'm not sure what you mean.

Same. My first gf was significantly older than me (I was 17, she was 23) so there was no work involved on my part. It was very awesome.

I have... it was called the Sadie Hawkins dance.
nooo at my high school we called it MORP aka prom backwards, bc the girls asked guys-- but in reality guys usually asked the girls.

So the guys had to figure out ways to dress as slutty as possible while still obeying school dress-code?

A lot of guys still asked girls to the MORP? What blasphemy.

This happened to me once when I was a teenager. Some girl outside the mall asked if I wanted some "services" although she was a little more blunt. I was also shocked and thought about it for a while afterwards. Then again, I was pretty young and just wondered why she thought I might be interested.

As for dark knight rises, just watched it and it was pretty dang awesome IMO.

I was a little dissapointed honestly.. but really there is no way it could live up to the second one. IMO it's not bad or anything, it's just not close to being the best of the series.

Well i tried to watch it without comparing it to any other movies, just for itself. In that sense I thought they did an excellent job. The ending kinda left me wondering a little bit...

I'll have to see it again. Before when I said I hadn't seen it yet it was because I don't remember anything... the Flexeril the doctor gave me after my car accident knocked me out after the first scene. I had no idea that even the movie theater seats could feel like clouds of bliss. When I woke up it was the ending, and from what I saw it definitely made me wonder a bit, too. Now about the 2 hours 55 minutes in between those two scenes... 😕

Ha ha! Thumbs up for drug induced mini-comas!

I basically paid $8 to eat popcorn in a movie theater and take a nap. Haha, money well spent!

Bro, I don't know about your home life but I have a 2.5 yr old daughter and let me tell you, a nap is worth that. Besides you got popcorn too. Lol

What really aggravated me the most was the fact that my gf was telling me how great it was, but we couldn't discuss anything because I didn't see 98% of the movie. I don't have any children, but I can see what you mean. I did get popcorn 👍

Would it be bad to tell ADCOMs that I like to play videogames and watch Sportscenter 5 times a day?

I think that falls under the list of things not to mention during an interview. 😉 That would have applied to me too but I didn't bring it up. I'm sure you can come up with some other activities that don't involve sitting on the couch.

I'm trying to figure out how honest I can really be.

I guess if you REALLY wanted to go there, the discussion could go as follows:

Videogames: Completing difficult missions and improving dexterity for surgical rotation. <Interviewer finds you funny and laughs... he secretly is a closet COD fiend>.

Sportscenter: LOVE sports.. My favorite sport is _____. I used to play _____. <Interviewer also loves sports and a 10 minute discussion ensues on the awesomeness of sports>.

Perhaps a little utopic, but it could happen.

Well I don't really want to talk about it, but if it came up I don't want to have to lie.

So I just got the PNWU secondary and part of the interactions include ONLY being able to use Internet Explorer...

You MUST use Internet Explorer 8.0 or below, the system is NOT compatible with any version of Internet explorer after 8.0 or any other internet browser

...That might be a deal breaker, ladies

A bunch of MD secondaries said that too. None of them made a fuss when I used Chrome.

Good...that's what I just used. And it seemed to work...hopefully it wasn't a secret test of following rules!! Haha

We're applying to med school, not ITT Tech 🙂

I don't see why it would matter. Then again some secondaries tell you not to use MS Word because it distorts the characters in the essays... I would think that would make more of a difference than the internet browser one uses. What do I know, though. I'm not a techie.

Listen...I was only using med application as a transition into bashing IE, which sucks.

And speaking of nerdy things, has anyone else seen the IT crowd? Tv show that's on netflix...for some reason, I think it's hilarious

Never seen it. I'm thinking of getting the Galaxy S3. My current blackberry is about 5 years old. Still works great, but the Galaxy S2/S3 are so sexy.

IT crowd is one of my favorite shows. It's too bad the seasons are so short. Moss and Denham are hilarious

BB used to be the thing. I had the curve 8320 and then 8520. But RIM hasn't kept up with all the new toys on the market.
