It is indeed nearly impossible to get instate tuition at Pitt. I think the requirement is one year residency prior to starting school. That year has to be spent working. Thats a pretty simplistic explanation but i think it covers the gist of the requirement.

I'll keep an eye out for you at second look. When is it by the way?
 
I don't know what the law is in PA, but I managed to get in-state consideration for UNC b/c my husband works, even though I've been a full-time student since we moved here. So I think this in-state residency might apply to married folk.

April 4-6. I'm still going to go, although I'm really demoralized about this tuition thing.
 
for those who've been waitlisted, the secretary says that everyone's been ranked but they can't released the rank. 😕 anyone know whom to contact if i'm thinking about possibly writting a letter of intent to pitt but am still deliberating cuz i'll do it somewhere else if i know i'm really low on the list.
