Thought I'd start a thread for those of us who haven't heard anything from any schools yet regarding acceptances. Give us a chance to vent a little. 😀

Keep in mind that even if you don't hear right away, as long as they haven't rejected you, there's still hope. Hang in there!

I havent heard either acceptance nor rejection from any of my schools. but i think those schools that are accepting people today are definitly not the normal. I won't start really flipping out until the 1st or until i hear someone got accepted to my schools... at which time i will not be able to eat, sleep or study until i get mine! 🙂

Last year it did for about a total of 2 weeks (nonconsecutively). 😀 Only a breath of snow, and I think one or two icy days. I kinda miss the snow.

Dallas area is feeling great, currently 52 degrees. Hanging Christmas lights today and tomorrow, perfect weather for that. Somehow it just isn't right to hang lights in warm weather.

well i haven't heard a damn thing..not even about interviews..i have 1 rejection from MCG but that's it..im getting seriously bummed..i suppose i still have time it just sucks seeing people already getting accepted and i haven't even had an interview yet! i applied in aug so i don't think it was too late..it's probably my gpa that's holding me back..oh well i'll just keep waiting like i have been

Im so pissed that I have not heard from UIC. Im even a illinois resident! I know my grades are good and my DAT scores are not bad. The private schools I nterviewed at LOVED me, and said I had amazing stats. FOr some reason, UIC is being a little bitch.

It beats 4 degree weather anytime. I think I would rather be hot as hell than freezing my a$$ off.

I am setting myself up for disappointment because I am really hoping to get a letter in the first two weeks of December and the reality is that I may not hear anything at all. Hell, I didnt hear anything last year until August of this year telling me that I had finally been rejected... Aaah! I hate feeling like a spaz...

Yes, it's bit early to complain about acceptances. still few more days till OFFICIAL Dec 1. It seems some schools are STRUGGLING to get students' deposits.

Actually, I am trying to "still" mind into not to panicking if I don't hear anything in the first week..... especially this being time number 2 for me.... I am really, really, really, Anxious. I lost all my patience last year.

All I have is "raw" nerves now. 🙁

But I am still hanging in there, somehow.

I called all the schools a month ago and everything was complete. I want to call again but is it bad timing to call now and ask the status of my application? I am not asking if I was accepted or not since I dont expect to be accepted without an interview. My app was complete by Oct 15th..i have yet to hear from NYU,Meharry,UOP,UCLA,Howard,Harvard,UTenn,Columbia,UDMercy,UNC, and UMaryland....and now I regret applying to Nova (i guess its too late now huh?) because they seem quick and i wouldnt have minded living in florida...anyway, good luck to everyone and congrats to those who got accepted. 👍

I am a RDH, and a RC (Registered Cosmetologist). I went to school to be one at 16 1/2, and graduated at 17 almost 18. I have kept my license to practice because I earned it. But the last time I worked as one was when I was going to dental hygiene school.

oh that's really cool. My grandmother was a cosmetologist in Russia =). You're a parallel of my whole family. A dentist (well, i'm sure you will be quite soon) like my dad, an RDH like my mom and an RC like my grandmother. =)

Wow I am really surprised you have not heard anything. Your GPA is really high and the DAT is bad either. Will you have your degree when you matriculate? That could be one reason. I would call after or on December 1st. I get the impression that most schools by then have a pretty good idea who's getting in and who they are rejecting.

oh ok you meant you regret NOT applying. sorry, i was confused by your statement because it said you regret applying there. that's pretty crazy that you haven't heard anything. i wonder if there was a problem on AADSAS's end. you should probably look into it because it's been over a month since the app has been complete and there is no good reason not to have interview invites yet (at least one). good luck with that.

i agree. have you called up and confirmed with the schools that they have everything? two of the schools i applied to still don't have my transcripts, though they got my app over a month ago and AADSAS swears they sent it to them... three times, after repeated nagging. i finally gave in and sent it directly from my college, but as of yet, they still have not recieved it. ARGH! and if it hadn't called up and asked, i would have blithely assumed they got my transcript along with my app, the way they were supposed to... so call. definately call. and if you call AADSAS, you might want to use the 202 number, which they pick up half the time. they never pick up the 800 number at all. sigh.

I have great sympathy for all who have heard nothing. I have felt like that for dang near 2 years. (2nd cycle for me) So please don't give up hope, because, you WILL make it if you want it bad enough.
