I searched and couldn't find it, so I'll start it.

I'm not too upset because they told us that it happens to a lot of people who interview this early. However, I am a little bummed because I really liked the school. Oh well, more waiting I guess...

wow you found out already after interviewing? that really sucks, but at least they don't keep you waiting forever before letting you know something.

thanks for starting the wall of lame for this year. let's hope people don't get confused between the wall of limbo and this one...wall of limbo is for pre-interview holds and stuff like that, right?

What really hurts is how I feel I was fighting a losing battle to begin with because of their whole points system.. like no matter how well I interviewed it still wasn't good enough due to my scores. oh well! 👎

I called a little bit ago too and they told me I had to wait till next week. You should consider writing a letter to tell them you are still interested and maybe you can get off the wl quicker.
 
I was told in an e-mail this week by ETSU that everyone who interviewed before 10/16 (and already went before the committee) was put on hold. They're going to send out acceptance letters next week. So, hopefully I'm not really on hold.

Having family asking about acceptances is worse than asking about the MCAT. I think will be able to tell when we get in with the huge smiles on our face that don't leave even when we are severely constipated. (I still have the flu so some of my comments don't make sense 😛 )

yea, sucks. but i heard good things about the VCU turnaround time so i'd keep my eyes open for that!

Dude, I'm the MOST impatient person in the WHOLE world! Grr. I'm hoping since I'm a VA resident that I can get an answer and not a hold. And the waitlisting that EVMS is doing does not make me look forward to going down there next week.

Does anyone else feel that they'd rather get a straight rejection than waiting forever and hearing nothing? Or, maybe it's just me. Or, maybe I've gone crazy (survey says yes). Oh yeah, definitely joining the ranks of the Georgetown rejectees (worst 160 dollars spent EVER).

Me, DVN, and Rob interviewed on 9/25. They state that they give decisions anywhere from 8-12 weeks after interview. The website hasn't updated that the interview was completed yet. I seem to remember something about the Nov. but the 12 week range def. makes Dec. also possible.

Limbo's for pre-interview holds. Lame is for post-interview waitlists.

I think there was a Lame started that explained all that after Limbo had been going for quite a while.

That does suck sorry to hear that. Hey if I get in at ETSU we should arrange a switch between my ETSU and your Kentucky. Since it's your top school and kentucky is mine. Hmmm I wonder if that could be arranged, I doubt it.

I called ETSU today, and the woman made it sound like no one will be accepted until the committee meets again on 10/24 or 10/25. Assuming letters go out within 2 days after that, and that it probably takes 3 days to get from TN to FL, maybe I'll know something by 10/30 or 10/31. I'm almost positive I would go to ETSU over UK. I would, however, make a roadtrip up to both one weekend, take one last look around, see some more of the facilities, and then drop the other acceptance quickly (as to not change my mind).
Holding out for a couple more weeks....come on ETSU!

If I hadn't already been accepted, these 3 waitlists I'm on would bum me out. Also, I called ETSU, and the committee meets for the first time on Monday to decide any acceptances!
