yeah, I noticed that someone who received and invite was complete a day after me (7/24). I have gotten interviews for Case and Rochester, so I'm not panicing, but I'm just thinking that I must have been passed over for further review.
 
I think i've been rejected from all 8 schools that have started sending out invites to interviews. I am so depressed... damn I want to give up already. =(
 
I have yet to receive one invite since my letters weren't ready until Aug 1. I am losing my mind waiting for someone to contact me. For 20 schools, I've sent in everything by Aug 6th, but they are a bit slow completing my file... Maybe I need to give it sometime?

In particular, I'm wondering why Pitt is taking so long. Most people have had such FAST turnaround. Maybe it took a while to complete rather than receive the interview notice? AHHH 😕😱:scared:

As in you got rejections? Or just haven't gotten interviews? If it's the latter, then don't worry, it's still super early.

I just got complete at Pitt today. They have had all my stuff since 7/17. I think they're just a bit behind with dealing with the auto-interviews.

They said they "think" they got rejected from 8 schools. I'm sure it's just because they haven't received any interviews yet. As it is, I don't think that many schools have even started sending out rejections yet. Or if they have, what are the odds they applied to all 8 of them? Low, methinks.

Well, I wasn't sure if they meant that they got rejected from some schools but wasn't sure if it were 8, or if they thought they were rejected because they didn't get interviews yet.

I just got a secondary from UNC today and I'm stoked 😀! They only send secondaries to those who get invited to an interview so I guess this counts as my first interview invite. Btw I'm an in-state applicant with a 31Q and a 3.56 BCMP and 3.47 AO GPA.

Now I just have to fill all these out... 6 more to go!

Let me clear up some confusion about my statement. I think I have been rejected from a few of the schools that have already sending out invites because people have later complete dates than I do, yet I haven't heard anything.

For example, I applied to the following; GWU, OSU, Upstate, Rochester, and Tulane with earlier complete dates than most people. So... I am beginning to think my application has been put in the reject pile.

hey... they sent me an email with the subject "MD Invite" and in the email it told me to call in and schedule an interview for a mutually convenient date.

I usually freak out when I look at this thread and then I realize that only three of the schools that i have applied to have started giving out interviews. Should be any day now for the rest, right???

Just because you haven't gotten an invite yet doesn't mean you've been rejected completely. Many schools will put some applicants in a hold pile to review the apps later in the year to reevaluate whether they should offer you an invite. Don't worry if you don't get an invite right away, you still may be able to get one later.

If you look at the msar, hawaii does interview a good percentage of out of staters. But only 6 matriculted for 06. So not many get accepted i would guess.
 
To those who applied to Pitt.. do you think its worth the money filling out the secondary if you don't qualify for an automatic interview? It seems like they have filled all the spots until October.. and are really numbers based. Any advice?

I am in the exact same situation (well, not the same schools). I can't help but feel like I got rejected already as well, haha.

If this makes you feel any better, looking at MDapps, I was complete at Tulane around when some of the later people with interviews were complete, but haven't heard anything either. And I am spending my year off in NOLA doing Katrina stuff... surely that counts for something.
 
Wow. This thread should be a swift kick to motivate me to finish my secondaries. Sigh.

Well I hope that means I'll be complete soon too.. I submitted my secondary on 7/14, and they got my LORs via VirtualEvals on 7/19. I called last week and the person who answered the phone said it was taking them a long time to get LORs filed.

i received an interview from Pitt like 3 weeks or so after I was complete, so Im pretty sure that it wasn't an autoinvite! So I wouldnt give up hope 🙂

Pretty timely though - I dreamt just last night that I got an invite to Pritzker in the mail. Granted, in my waking hours I don't think I stand a chance (and I know that they're emailed, not mailed). But it was still a very nice dream. Hope I'm not the only one who's started to dream about interview invites - literally.
 
Has anyone who has applied to both Case and CCLCM received an interview invite to Case (or CCLCM)?

Tulane invite!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Funny thing is, I can see in the header of the email they sent me the email addresses of 9 other applicants invited! Let's see, one from JHU, one from Dartmouth, two from Trinity (?), etc.
 
I guess I got an "interview" to UNC, since I got their secondary (yesterday, 08/07 - AMCAS verified 07/18). But it's still unofficial pending their review of my in-state residency...any other in-state NC people get/submit one?

Yeah I'm instate at UNC, got their secondary on 7/27, handed it in 8/6 but haven't heard back from them yet about scheduling an interview. Do you think they really call to do that instead of email?
