Wow!! On Sunday??? That's gotta be awesome because it's so unexpected! Good Luck!!!!
Hey leavingprov,
I sent an email to one of my professors who is a graduate of Xavier's PsyD program emailing him the email we received from Xavier and asking him if it was an interview...this is what he said
"This is both an interview and a sales pitch on their part. You should be very excited and proud that multiple programs are expressing an interest in you, this is a very good sign. Xavier invites some, but not all of the applicants, to come and visit. Throughout the day (though if I remember correctly you can finish as early as mid-afternoon) there are a variety of different opportunities to interact with faculty and current students. Activities include tour of their facilities, lunch, panel discussions, and my favorite part competitive interviewing. Meet with me sometime and I can tell you more details about it."
So it sounds like we have an interview...Congrats!!
So...I'm gonna go ahead and repost this from earlier on in the thread (I hope you don't mind BlindBlonde - I included your post too as it's really good). Everyone seems to be freaking out a lot which is totally understandable - I was there just one year ago and am now thankful to be done. (...at least til internship)
To weigh in on the UF conversation that is ongoing- I did not receive an e-mail on Friday but I did receive a message from UF on Jan. 20
To weigh in on the UF conversation that is ongoing- I did not receive an e-mail on Friday but I did receive a message from UF on Jan. 20 saying this:
"Attention Applicant:
Currently we are in the process of reviewing applications to the Clinical and Health Psychology Doctoral Program. If you have received this email, it means that the Admission Committee is currently reviewing your application. We hope to make decisions regarding interview selection by the end of next week. If you are selected for an interview, you can expect to be contacted between January 28th February 2nd, 2009. Note that these dates are approximate and the process could take a little longer. Our visitation/interview weekend is scheduled for February 20-21, 2009.
Should you be selected for interview we will contact you during the time mentioned above. Take care and good luck with your academic pursuits."
So I am going to go ahead and count that as being in the running...
for all areas of psych?Pretty sure people would have figured this out, but FYI all the Duke invites went out this weekend, no more to come. 🙁
for all areas of psych?
So I just called u of hartford, they are not done inviting people for interviews !
phew....
Has anyone heard from the SUNY Albany? Also, I know that it is listed that Drexel sent out invites on the 8th (the secretary that i talked to said that they will be continually sending out invites until the end of this week). But, has anyone heard since. And, if you did, can you message me with your POI's name?

I'm sorry, but what is UF? I'm guessing University of Florida?
Does anyone know if UCF (Central FL)- Clinical has sent out all their invites? I have tried to call the program assistant but she's never there and her mailbox has been full.
I am wondering about contacting my POI's to see if they are done with handing out invites. I always assumed that was not an appropriate option, but I have seen several posts that people are doing just that. What does everyone think?
Since it appears the invites are being handled individually by the profs at UMiami, I was wondering if anyone has heard from Dr. Annette La Greca? I had previously spoken to one of her grad students, but I'm not sure whether she's given invitations yet, and I don't want to be bothersome to the grad I spoke to.

Has anyone contacted these schools about their timeline for extending invites (clinical PhD)?
GA State
Missouri-St.Louis
CUNY-Graduate school
Which program at CUNY? Clinical or Forensic Clinical (they are both Clinical and the application process is the same
I am wondering about the clinical program (not forensic)...thanks for the info!
Has anyone called UCSD to find out an approximate timeline?
has anyone (who wasn't on the first mass email invite from fordham) actually contacted Dr. Rosenfeld? did he write back, and if so, what did he say?

Admission to the program for the Fall, 2009 semester is now closed.
Please note - we are accepting November 8th GRE Subject Test scores despite their mid-December delivery.

I called CUNY Graduate Center, no one picked up. E-mailed them a few minutes ago, and quickly received (what I hope is) an automatic response:
