I figure now is a good time to jump-start this thread.

Even though some of us who had taken the exam in late-2012 are still awaiting our scores (amid the holiday delays) and could technically still post within last year's thread, it is after all mid-January now, so it's probably apposite that we move forward and hope for a great year.

:luck: Cheers to 2013 :luck:

I have been following this thread for quite some time now. I took step 1 June 17th and my permit disappeared last week. Best of luck to everyone receiving scores tomorrow!

My school sent an email saying anyone who took their exam on or before June 21 should expect their score tomorrow.

June 22 or later should expect it next Wed.

Makes sense. Only issue is I took mine earlier that month, so bit worried as to why the permit has t disappeared. Hopefully, the system will play catch up and I'll get the scores tomorrow.

I don't get what you guys mean by permit disappears lol. I guess I don't remember what it looked like before taking step 1, my mind is a blur. Where would the permit have been so I can check to see if it is still there or not haha.

Just took the test. Super exhausted, running on 3.5hrs of sleep (2 nightmares about heart murmurs and ekgs). test was very pharm heavy (about 40%), anatomy heavy (crazy, crazy random questions on surgical procedures and arteries ligated/anastomosed. anatomy is one of my weakest areas so I definitely guessed on those. I would say overall, I had about 30 anatomy questions. one was easy tho, straight up FA anatomy, rest were outta nowhere or at least thats how I felt). LOTS OF BIOCHEM! 2 structures identifications (almost died when I saw them), pretty sure got them wrong (and no they werent pencillin-related structures). Specific enzyme deficiencies and substrate accumulation. LOTS of neuro. and of course lots of path. the questions were very, very long. lots of distractors. qs weren't anything like nbmes. more like uworld. I don't think I did welll. I ran out of time towards the end. will see. i'll write a better review i guess if i end up with a decent score altho i highly doubt it.
Good luck to those getting their scores tmrw, you guys are among the gunnest gunners I've ever met, you'll do just fine 🙂

On the USMLE website, click exam status. In the box under "permit available date" there is a clickable link that disappears prior to score release. That's the link everyone is referring to. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Wow, that sounds rough. You just gotta trust the curve. How were your NBMEs?

so if my eligibility period is expired (on 6/30)..the clickable permit link disappears? I took my on 6/27... but.. my link has been gone since IDK when.. from what im reading theres not a good chance score will be available tomorrow.

Hey guys... I'm officially the worst SDN-er ever. Anybody know how to check your scores for tomorrow? I should feel embarrassed for asking.

do we know roughly what time they will be out?

According to someone a few posts above who looked at the threads from previous years, it seems that a few people get their scores at 8am EST and the rest at 11am EST. Not sure why some people get it earlier. Also, apparently the servers aren't able to handle all the traffic right away, so some people probably won't be able to access their scores until a little later. And I'm assuming we'll have an email sent to us as soon as they're available.

Edit: I got beat to it.

8AM would be great. I feel like I'll be in the 11AM group though knowing my luck.

That doesn't sound fun. I would've hung up my steth if I saw biochem structures on mine.

wth kind of breakdown is this???

Probably means where is the CCA or where does the amino acid bind onto the transfer RNA. I know there are a couple of questions like this on UWorld that ask this. It was funny, because iirc, only 44% of the population got the question correct.

That seriously sounds like hell.. Really feels like i need to redo anatomy

Doesn't really matter anyway, they'll send you an email about a half hour ahead of time telling you they're releasing your score at a certain time just to freak you out.

Btw, holy crap there are a lot of people on this thread right now. 67 guests, get sdn accounts you fools and quit leaching.

Anyone know if I'll be able to access my score report from my iphone? I'll be on the wards and won't be able to/want to access from the computers. Plus I'll probably want to be in a bathroom stall where no one can see my tears.

Good luck to everyone.

I entered here to see if i was the only one anxious, and i suspected i'm not alone.

My test was on May, 30. I'm suppose to get my scores today, in a few hours.

I think i'm less anxious than 2-3 weeks ago, but still, the anxiety is there.

Good luck, everybody!

can someone who is expecting their score to come out today check to see if they are able to (re)apply for step 1 on the nbme site? I am able to and starting to freak out. don't know if it is like that for everyone.

uhhh debating where the best time and place to open that score report is..in case i need to start crying....sooooo scared

Just ending an IM night float shift. Hoping to sleep after morning report until 11ish and then wake up to my score. Took my exam June 17.

NBME 12 (5 weeks out) - 210
NBME 15 (3 days out) - 245

UWorld x2, Kaplan Qbank x1, Pathoma more times than I can remember, BRS Phys, Goljan etc.

Hoping for < 220, but I know the world will go on spinning even if I blew it. Best wishes to everyone getting scores tomorrow!

I'm able to as well.

Just woke up, didn't get much sleep last night. Permit is still present. Just great...I hope I'm getting my scores in a few hours. 🙁

I am also able to reapply and am now freaking out. I really hope this is not indicative of anything ..,

Get back to us about how you did, when your score comes out please. I feel I'm gonna be in a similar boat when comes time for the step. I really doubt I'l remember much Anatomy/Biochem minuta.

just got my score ... 249...and i am over the moon! was aiming for 240+... i know i might not be among the sdn elite to give advice but if anybody wants to know my stats, study prep and exam experience... do let me know! 🙂
