Outright rejecting 26AA 25TS, 4.0 sGPA??? My assumption is that UCSF probably figured that you received or going to get bunch of invites from other school already... which you did! congratz! I know very well how rejections without interviews hurt, but I wonder what it feels like to have one rejection when there are so many invites to back you up!

Thank you! About UCSF - I don't have very much research experience. Maybe that's what they were looking at? I'm not too sure. It was one of my top school choices so it was disappointing to get rejected without even an interview. Having the other ones do help! They give a lot of hope that I'll get in somewhere! 🙂

my application was submitted with a mail out date of 9/11 to MQT, MWU-IL, COL, UNE, MWU-AZ. I completed the following secondaries within the following week of my mail out date upon request for UNE, both MWU and MQT.

I've only received one response which was an interview hold from MWU-AZ.
At what point do I abandon hope for an interview invite? I cannot seem to figure if I've missed the bus. Any reply from a seasoned application veteran would be great.

What state are you from? What are your stats, hours of shadow and volunteer?
In general private schools have a longer rolling admissions and interview many applicants post December. Do not give up, there is still hope!

I think UNE has two more interview dates in November they haven't sent invites out for yet.

I just checked through last years thread and it seems like the November interviews started going out the last two weeks of October. Even more reason to frantically refresh my email!!

I hope your luck changes too! I interviewed there earlier this month and it was a great school with awesome, modern facilities for the dental school. They only have 3 more interview dates left:

• Monday, October 19, 2015
• Monday, November 2, 2015
• Monday, November 16, 2015

Sure! stats are pretty average, my DAT was 20AA/20TS, oGPA 3.59 and sGPA 3.54
I applied to 13 schools, which is turning into 12 really because I never submitted the UoP supplemental lol. I didn't submit until August though which I am totally kicking myself for now...

Thanks for giving your status. My DAT averages are 19 both and my GPA is 3.84. I applied to 8 schools though because I couldn't go all over USA because of my family. Do you think it is better to start studying for DAT? I think the reason that I am not getting any interviews is my DAT score

It took about 1.5 months before I heard from my first school and my mail out day was mid aug.

Marquette sent out almost all of their interview invites on 9/9 I think they plan to interview 32 more in January don't know when they contact people about that though.

It doesn't mean you are rejected, it means that your application is being reviewed by the admissions committee and they have not made a decision yet. When you are rejected, your AADSAS portal will say "Application Denied".

just in my opinion, your total GPA is a bit low if it is like 3.5 3.6 then ur DAT is probably marginally acceptable. but stats are just one side of applicant. someone posted here with AA 19 with 15 on PAT got like 5 interviews. so probably your GPA.

If something about your given stats is holding you back, I would think it is the low shadowing hours and maybe your 17 RC.

EDIT: I'm not saying these are holding you back, but that if something that you've told us is holding you back, those would be my guess. Maybe you'll get interview invites tomorrow, who knows.
