Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted so far this cycle!

Many people are asking about second look dates on school-specific threads. Let’s create a master list for everyone to share.

Previous threads: 2014, 2013, 2012

Please add the ones you know about, and revise as things change.

Mount Sinai (Icahn) - March 13
Stanford - April 9-11
University of Chicago, Pritzker - April 9-12
University of Michigan - April 17-18

[Edited 2/2 to add links to specific posts in previous threads.]

Is it just me or are there a ton of second looks who likely have overlapping candidates for the weekend of April 10-12? Hopkins, Stanford, Pritzker, UCSD, and WashU.

Iowa has a "get acquainted day" for admitted students April 18th, I'm wondering if that's their version of second look?

I know! It looks like a lot of people are going to have to do some serious pick and choosing. So far it looks like there's at least 11 schools having revisit during this weekend.

Also: shoutout to everyone who has been re-alphabetizing this list. ;)

Yep. Perhaps going forward schools can start notifying applicants of admissions decisions earlier now that the deadline to decide has been moved up. I guess I shouldn't be so hard on them, though, they only have from June to March to decide on us. ;)

I wasn't sure whether to put The Commonwealth Medical College under T or C. White-knuckled it there for a while. Ultimately decided that since the acronym is TCMC they have the soul of a T. Please move if your alphabetical instincts are truer than mine.

Seems like all the top tier schools have their second looks on that same date. Maybe it's a tactic. All the best schools want as many of the best candidates to attend them, right? Forcing candidates into an "us or them" situation sounds about right. I wish I had choices at this point lololol.

I wonder if schools have had to move their dates closer together with the new traffic rules as well?

For folks who have MD/PhD acceptances, are your revisit weekends the same as are posted above?

There is this calendar that lists most of the MSTP interview and second look dates. I can personally attest that WUStL overlaps (April 9-12) and VCU is March 26-28. At my interviews, some schools have said specifically that MSTP has a different revisit date, but that accepted MSTP applicants were welcome at the MD revisit weekend.

Maybe you have a better source for this, but the website says March 24th?

During a recent interview, one of the deans mentioned that second look weekend would begin on Match Day (March 20th this year). That website is a list of online webinars. On March 24th (Tuesday) at 6 pm, I imagine they will have a webinar summarizing the weekend prior. Of course, I noted that date as being unconfirmed, but it might be the best information we have for another month!

Yeah, me too. That weekend is going to be tough. You're probably right, though, because the portal looks like it's from 2014 :(.

Washington University: April 10-12
Western Michigan: April 10

The four schools where I am holding acceptances, and a fifth I am waiting to hear back from, all have Second Look the weekend of April 16-18. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do.

I'm honestly curious what people think they're going to get out of second look outside of a lighter wallet.

Assuming you're not trolling, it makes alot of sense to go if you're on the fence (like, REALLY on the fence). It also makes sense if your interview day was rushed/you were sick/were there during a weird time, etc, and still aren't sure what it's really like at a school. I personally am going to see how I like the other students that were accepted, because I hear class dynamics can vary from year to year.

I know you are sincerely asking and not trolling. I understand not being interested in spending the money, but I and others are looking forward to second look(s).

I will be looking for . . . A sense for fit. A sense of place. A sense for the people at the institution. Plus, lots of time to get questions answered that are harder to ask on interview day.

If you want an opinion from someone who has attended a second look, here are some from wise SDNers: @jeghaber here, @Ismet et al here, @NickNaylor et al here (edit: and now on page 2 of this very thread).
