I dream of that MCAT score.. In between having nightmares about voiding it.
 
515 seriously to me feels like "the score", might just be the way it looks but for some reason I feel like that's the difference between great and amazing!

Definitely with you on the nightmares though, the waiting is starting to feel worse than the studying.

Good luck to you all! I believe in ya'll.
My best advice to tell you all is to apply as broadly as financially possible and attend all your interviews. Beggers can't be choosers.
Some tips for you all that I wish someone told me when I was applying
-just because a school accepts secondaries until April doesn't mean that they will be doing interviews until April. A lot of schools have full classes by February and, after that, will interview for wait-list positions or not interview at all. I have friends that lagged secondaries until April because "it's not due for months" only to be met with admissions counselors saying "our class is full and we're now interviewing for waitlist positions."
-don't exaggerate your "Why DO?" essays because you will have to defend/explain your experiences during your interviews.
-don't speak negatively about MDs in your essays. Most schools have MDs as faculty and Deans.
-going to a DO school open house helps a lot with getting a better idea on the educational peculiarities/specifics of DO schools which helps with writing secondaries or answering interview questions.

Okay so, for one of my schools' secondaries it asked, "Why XYZCOM" and I talked about how I was highly interested in osteopathic medicine and it was one of the first DO schools so I reasoned that they would teach with more roots in osteopathic tradition... Now that I'm writing this I'm thinking it's not the best idea.

I also talked about their strong academic success (board pass rates and such) along with liking the location of the school (fits my interests and such.) Should I be looking more towards the mission statement of the school instead? I haven't submitted the secondary yet, just drafted it.

I think it is fine to say that "I am attracted to PCOM/KCU/ATSU/DMU 's historic commitment to advancing the osteopathic profession and wish to be a part of XYZCOM's celebrated/distinguished legacy of producing compassionate osteopathic physicians." This is obviously something you can't say about the newer schools and shows that you did some background research about the school and know about its role/history in the DO educational world.

I don't think mentioning board pass stats and stuff is necessary. All schools have a high pass rate. Mentioning your interest in the location is definitely okay and, I would even say, recommended. I remember interviewing at one school and being asked "What's a kid born/raised in Manhattan doing in this rural city?"

Hey quick question, when is the best time to submit my secondaries? So far I received CCOM and ATSU-SOMA and I'm wondering if submitting them this week will help the app process? From my understanding the schools won't look at the app until maybe July. Thanks!!

I don't know anything about ATSU SOMA but CCOM is pretty competitive and the earlier you get your app complete the better. However, make sure your CCOM secondary is spotless, including the resume. It has a HUGE impact on your interview. I have no clue on how ATSU SOMA works. It might be better to ask the 2015-2016 page about it. I'd complete my CCOM app before my SOMA. Gluck.

Edit: I just saw your stats. They look great. Just make sure you have good secondary essays. Apply broadly, 6 DO schools at least. You could be competitive at all of the,.

When you get verified, there are a lot of GPA's calculated: for example you have the Biochemistry, English, Math, Behavioral Sciences (depending on the prereq for the specific school). My question was, I know schools care about ALL of your GPAs but when people comment on the cGPA and the sGPA they mean the cumulative Undergraduate/overall for the cGPA, the cumulative Undergraduate Science/overall science for sGPA and cumulative Undergraduate non-science/overall non-science for non-scienceGPA? Just a bit confused as to exactly what GPAs are "weighted" more in terms of your application. Can anyone clarify?
