This whole application process is brutal
 
Am I the only one who thinks we are like 80-90% done? It seems like interviews have essentially stopped.

Already sent an email to programs of interest, and have had essentially 0 responses (sent last Monday). Any thoughts from wisened fellows/other applicants with good insight whether an additional PDs email would in any way hurt by making me seem aggressive/pushy?

A second email likely won't generate anything if the first email didn't even get a reply. At the same time, you have very little to lose if you don't have an interview already...

Many are still reviewing applications and staff are still in orientation of new fellows.

Many start after the long weekend.

Many send due to cancelation.

Many still have not even reviewed it.
 
So y’all would disagree that 80-90% of invites have been sent out?
 
If you look at the threads from previous years, I think it’s not inaccurate to say that at least 80 percent of the interviews are out by now.

Same for me. I contacted 2 programs where I am interested in and they have not sent out their IVs yet.
I do not know man, I am so fed up with checking my email every second.......Finally I am getting GI bleeding from this painful process.

Did main Cleveland clinic ever send out their first batch of IVs?

most of the programs in the east coast dont even start looking at applications until September.
 
Could someone tell me the Uni Of Arizona rejection was from Tucson campus or phoenix?

What I did for interview season was set a filter in my email for “interview” and “congratulations”, etc buzzwords for an invite, so that all these emails would be forwarded to my pager. I found that my pager went off faster by a good 20-30seconds compared to emails getting pushed to my phone. It also gave me an excuse to leave rounds to book the interview since my pager went off haha.
