Unrelated question. But what's with the deal of the percentile on Uworld? I've gone through about 20% of the questions on random timed, and it has me at~86 percentile (80% right overall). Is that just some goofy number they give us, so they can put it on a pretty graph?
Lol I wish I was this high. about half way done and my goal was to get 70% correct but I cant seem to break 66% correct

Also is there a way to take breaks with Anki? At this point I just study everyday because if I don't do my reviews, then I have twice as many to do the next day. Wasn't really worried about this but now that my step got pushed form June 19th to august 15th, I'm getting a little worried about burnout.

Also on a personal note, It is soooo frustrating the amount of Uworld I've gotten wrong because I haven't gotten to that part of Zanki yet. Seems like even when I finish a subdeck and then add those Uworld sections to my block, high yield facts for that subject are hidden in other subdecks lol. I swear my overall correct would be like 3-5% higher if this wasn't the case. My score right now isn't bad, 66% for 57th percentile (goal for step is 60th percentile), but I would 100% be at my goal of 70% correct if I wasn't constantly getting questions here or there that are hidden in other zanki decks.

Warning, this is a dangerously tempting add-on. Use it sparingly.

Has anyone taken their schools COMSAEs? Ive been doing well on UWorld and practice questions and then took my schools mandatory COMSAE and got wrecked by it haha
Yeah COMSAE underpredicted by like 150-170 points from all the 4th years i talked to. I took 105b. Comsaes are nothing like real deal apparently and its way harder than real deal. The questions just are the least representative from the real thing you could possibly get

Well if my combank scores are any indication, 150 points less would get me just at passing or a little over. Really hope the comsae isn’t that shirt for us.

Youll do fine man. My UW avg is in the 70s and I ended up with a 579 on COMSAE 105. I remembered it was heavy OMM and anatomy

Does anybody know how often the "Prometric Test Center Closures" page is updated? My comlex got pushed waaaaaay back & I was able to snag a date much earlier after searching around, but I don't want to make travel plans if it might close.

Geez i got rocked haha my uw avg is in the high 50s/low 60s and i got like a 430
Its literally all crap questions i wouldnt worry focus on your UW percent its more predictive and like the real thing. a 430 is actually pretty good some peoples class avg ive heard on here were like below 400 or jus above so 430 is still good.

There's a may 1st appointment open in Fair Oaks. Also a bunch of slots open at Henderson State University for June. Some people are reporting that these are a mistake, and aren't real. Might be worth a look if you still need a test date

Edit: Institution is supposedly reporting they won't open in June

so those June spots are false?

This was released by Prometric today. No idea how accurate it is though as a center in my state confirmed by the site coordinator to be opening on May 4 isn't listed at all.

can someone explain to me how its possible a test site is opening up in Wuhan before the state I live in

My question is I got a cancellation email but when I just checked my appointment my date is still saying I have my same spot with a different
Test Center Number. What the hell does this mean ?

  • SCHEDULING: The Prometric scheduling calendar is up-to-date and examinees can confirm their appointments using the Prometric scheduling calendar. Additionally, all bulk cancellations for May appointments resulting from social distancing requirements and center closures are complete.State and local guidelines are evolving rapidly, and cancellations may still occur for May appointments if a testing center’s ability to open changes. If you do not receive a cancellation email from Prometric, your examination appointment is proceeding as scheduled.

Also what does this mean?? They cancelled June dates too, but does this mean they're not done? I wish they could just be clear about things.

Was wondering about that myself. I'm already 1/2 in June, I can't take another round of cancellations. My guess is they're saying if May goes well there won't be anymore June cancellations but if we see another spike then they might have to reduce June further. But who really knows.

I mean it definitely seems like they already slashed 50% of June dates so I'm just confused.

Yeah it seems like most people in my class got at least one exam canceled, with only a lucky few being completely unscathed. I think they're saying it's 50% capacity maximum right now which they've already cut it down to but if they feel the need to cut down further, they might do so. They basically said in one sentence that they were done with bulk cancellations for May but could still cancel appointments if the testing centers have to close. I would assume the same applies for June.

So basically we aren't going to feel completely comfortable until we're actually sitting in front of our computer with question 1 on the screen in front of us.

Yeah I guess so. Sucks.

What are you saying? NBME and NBOME is in the list.

Yes but look at some of the other names on that list. Should medical students really be losing seats to take licensing boards in the middle of a pandemic because it's absolutely imperative that the concrete institute gets some of those seats? I'm not arguing that we're any better than any other profession, but I would say we are more essential in the current circumstances.

Exactly. The most essential right now are MDs DOs RNs PAs and NPs by far

When does the website tell you if you have been canceled or not? You think they would have been able to update their site by now.

Exactly but when I log in and put in my number it says my exam is still on. I have received a cancellation email so I'm just confused if its taking longer than normal for them to update the site.

I have heard this happening to other people as well. I rescheduled my canceled appointment and it reflects my rescheduled date now, have you been able to reschedule yet?
