90s on UW for a block is GOAT status. Anyone ever get a 100? lmao is that even possible? I think if I got a 100 I would just take the rest of the week off

every time I know for sure I got the first 2 or so questions in a block right I think to myself this is the one I get a 100 on, until I finish with a 67 or some s***

There was someone on the 2019 thread who got 100, I think. Guy scored like 260+ I believe. If I hit 100 on a block I would take my test tomorrow lol

Got a 90% on a block today! Average was a 61%. Still at a 80% overall, 86 percentile. Not sure if I should do another or just call it a day. Have 1100 reviews calling my name tomorrow.

if youre getting 90% on blocks youre no longer welcome here

/s good stuff 👍

Started my day off with back to back 90+ blocks. Thinking I'm on fire, about to put up 260+

Dropped a 65% on my last block. Back to reality

You're both crushing it, can't wait to see y'all score 250+ lol. I am a mere mortal.

I say the same thing every day. I don't know how people do it

Seriously. Not my intention to put down my classmates at all, but some of them are essentially learning all the biochem pathways all over again, and then doing reviewing each system one by one. Like how??? Cramming 2 years of material into 5 weeks is quite literally impossible, and I owe it all to the creators of Anki and Zanki that I am where I am in my board prep today. If the creator of Zanki started a donation fund on reddit, I would EASILY give her $100+ to show my appreciation.

I'm surprised at the block-to-block variation in scores some of you are getting. All my blocks were pretty much consistent (finished UW already). Same for everyone I know irl.

Unrelated question. About how many days a week do you guys take off from studying? Is it reasonable to take one off here and there?

What is this.. "day off" you speak of?

But in all seriousness, I am not the best student so I need to study more than my peers (always have had to) and I get more productive studying done if I know that each day I have to make sure I get work done.

one day per week or I would go insane. literally I dont know how someone could study for months on end 10-12 hours per day without a break at least one day per week. Im on the verge of burnout and ive been doing at least 10 hours per day since January. Starting to slow down slightly so I can keep my stamina since my exam isnt until July 14th

Literally always think about how in retrospect, Zanki could've totally been sold like any other Step 1 resource and I would definitely pay for it.

Is a 230+ still within reach for me? I took nbme 18 today and I got 226, I got 232 on UWSA2 a week ago. What should I do between now and my exam (in one week)?

my advice would be to see what mistakes ur making and go over those topics. also def do the FA rapid review section.

Is there any point to skimming over the BnB pdfs to pick up anything not covered at all in FA / UW? Considering that I've already finished FA a couple of times and UW once.

For those who Anki, do you start or end your day with it? I've been doing an hour first thing, then a block, then either review before lunch or lunch + review, and then either another hour of Anki or my second block of UWorld. I don't like knowing I still have cards to do, but on the other hand I can passively review my cards at the end of the day in front of the TV or whatever and I can't do that with UWorld. I also haven't had time to fit in content review as I still haven't adjusted my sleep schedule fully, so that'll probably be something I do at the end of the day too. Still have some stupid BS from school to wrap up in the next couple of weeks too.

im having trouble even getting through my Anki cards everyday. I do my uworld deck (things from uworld I got wrong/didnt know), micro and pharm everyday. I don't get how you guys do UWorld review and 1000+ cards

& I would be absolutely livid if my school gave us mandatory stuff in dedicated, praise to you for not losing your s***

Our dedicated officially starts May 31st, last year they added this new "transition to clerkship" class filled with random crap that is a total time suck. But it's vital to 3rd year success, apparently!!

I don't spend too much time reviewing? I know it takes some people a lot longer, but I read all of the explanations and I just find it doesn't take me that long-- I may be doing it wrong by not doing a deeper content review while reviewing. I also keep wanting to make a UWorld deck but haven't gotten to it yet (I have a word doc with all the things I want to remember). It's super hard to balance time for everything without committing to like 12 hour study days lol.

Start the day with it personally. I do Uword incorrects and all the M2 decks. Then finish the day with the M1 decks.

I think making that document youre talking about is essentially the same thing as making a uworld deck, just different style.

12-13 hour study days are what I’m doing now. Exam in 29 days.

I have a hard time committing to this because I feel like I'll just lose it, I still have a little over 6 weeks though.

Also, since my original goal was 230 and I'm feeling fairly confident I'm at that point already (still feel weird saying this but), I think I don't feel as pressured? I'm like 90% sure I want to do IM, 5% FM, and 5% something else that I haven't discovered yet. On the one hand I'm like I should push myself for higher but on the other hand I'm like what's the point since I'm mostly interested in community programs anyways. Lots of cognitive dissonance throughout this process lol

just get a 260 and go to Hopkins for IM

I’m pretty confident you’re going to get well above 230. I get the confidence thing though, I’m feeling the same now. Goal is 240+ but I guess I can’t really feel comfortable till I score 240+ on an NBME. 228 is my highest so far.

I'm putting my faith more in the Reddit predictor than the individual NBME scores. It seemed to be pretty accurate for most people while the NBMEs seem to be all over the place in terms of over- or under-predicting.

I started doing cards right after waking up early in the morning. I've found that in the morning I have the patience to sit through 1-1.5 hours of straight zanki, while if I put it off until the evening I just want to get it done so I'll just press good until I finish it. I started a UW deck that's been super clutch. So far, my setup has been going through the block I just finished, and even if I got the question right, I'll jump to the zanki card that corresponds to the question to further reinforce that fact into my mind. If I felt weak on that fact, I'll reschedule that card to come up in 1-2 days so I can keep it fresh. If it's not in zanki, I'll create a card in my separate UW deck. Depending on how well I do on the block, it comes out to 6-10 cards per block. If I feel the fact doesn't warrant its own card, but it might be important, I jot it down in a google doc that I review every now and then.

Yeah personally from what you have shared with us if you keep going at this rate you are most undoubtedly going to break 240 and may hit 250s if you still have 6 weeks left. 6 weeks is a huge chunk of time especially if you are where you are right now already. I still have 9 weeks and right now predicted at 240+ based on the 2019 predictor so I have slowed down a bit since I will 100% burnout and peak if I do those 10-12 hour days for the next 9 weeks. I originally supposed to take my exam June 9th so I was previously going ham for like 4 months until prometric-gate happened. Im just trying to stay afloat and coast for the next 4 weeks until I am like 5-6 weeks out then going to go hard on UW again and finish it up/tie up any stuff I don't know

R u guys doing questions with a mask on? I took UWSA 1 couple of days ago with a mask was certainly a challenge. I have been practicing questions also with a mask on and sometimes i just wanna take it out and just breath out.

I plan on doing my next NBME with a mask.
