Youre set bro. Howd it feel? Im taking 24 in a little under 2 weeks
I have a about 4.5 weeks left till mine! I felt like there's streaks of easy question followed by some really tough ones. Quite a bit of here's one vague sentence, have fun type of questions. Not too much anatomy. Felt similar to my CBSE I took at beginning of dedicated

Update. Took NBME 24 today and got a 239. This is what I have so far. Thoughts?

UWSA1 = 254
NBME24 = 239
Uworld percent (so far)= 80%

That's solid. My scores are very similar with USWA=256, NBME24=241, and UW=77%
In addition to those I scored a 246 on NBME16 a few days ago, which is my most recent. The predictors have me around a 254 so we're looking pretty good I think!

Is everyone fairly consistent with UWorld, or all over the place? I am having a hard time understanding why I'm so inconsistent. I do 2 blocks a day, ended Saturday with an 85%. Then dropped a 62 and a 77 yesterday, then a 70 and an 87.5 today. I thought maybe the questions overall were just easier, but the average percent correct isn't that much higher to account for the difference (for example it was 64 on the block I got a 70 on and then 66 on the block I got an 87 on). Then I thought maybe it was because certain blocks hit my weak spots more, but this block I just got an 87 on had a large chunk of questions in the areas I suck (anatomy, phys). Ahhh, I have no idea how to interpret my progress, I keep yo-yoing.

Im always all over the place but my overall percentile slowly climbs so I think that is the important part. My buddy and I are dead on same on pretty much everything score-wise and some days hell call me up being like dude I just threw my computer I got a 62% on a UW block. Then like 5 hours later hell be like bro I just got an 87%. Same thing happens to me ill pop 58% two days in a row then have like a nice row of mid 80s for like 4 days and be on top of the world. UW is an emotional rollercoaster. Remember your overall score is an average so you can't expect to rip 80+% literally every single time

My overall percentage seems to be going up and down between the same 2 points so I just feel like I'm not making any progress. I get a 62% and I drop, then I hit an 87% and I'm back where I started.

I hope so. How many weeks out are you? I never really liked the predictor things tbh

I was at the same percent for months and so was my Step tutor who scored a 260. I called him pretty discouraged recently because my scores weren't climbing and he told me that his score stayed the same for a long long time. Don't get discouraged just keep going. I only recently have seen my score climb and thats after having done over 4500 questions at this point

Thanks for sharing, I just wasn't sure what most people are experiencing. This is helpful!

Anyone start thinking about lunch plans yet? My understanding is you have 8 hours, 7 of which are for the actual test itself and only 1 hour is for lunch/restroom breaks/stretch breaks. Not sure what I can eat that's quick, can power you through the 2nd half, and doesn't have to make me poop lol.

Peanut butter sandwich maybe?

232 on NBME 23 today. I thought that exam was super rough so I was very surprised by my score. I'm skipping 22 since I heard it's anatomy heavy and there aren't enough words to express my disdain for anatomy so I figured I'll just use the 100 concepts over the next few weeks to hammer in the big points.

I took step 1 this week. For what it’s worth I felt my exam was very anatomy heavy. I wish I had taken anatomy more seriously.

this is what im scared of, I don't even know how to go about studying anatomy. Like is there a high yield 'anatomy to know for sure' type document somewhere?

There's the 100 HY anatomy concepts pdf and an anki deck for it Iif you haven't seen that yet

I guess I'm just praying that I don't get an anatomy-heavy form lol. I would be fine with literally any subject except anatomy being heavily represented on my exam.

For me I think it would be biostats and genetics. Anything with a graph and numbers basically lol absolute nightmare

I'm seeing a lot of people get 250/260s on the new NBMEs who tooi the older ones. Is this because there's a loy of repeates from the older ones
250/260s on new NBMEs is actually insane lol would prob line you up for 270 on real deal. Id assume thats from repeats. Even a 240+ on new NBMEs is impressive and most likely equates to a 250+ on real deal

NBME 21 alone had around 8 repeats from NBME 16, so I imagine if you've taken a majority of the older ones you'll see a handful of repeats on the new ones. I think someone earlier in this thread said NBME 23 and 24 do not have repeats though.

I cant deal with this right now. So I called Prometric this morning to confirm my appointment for tomorrow, and the guy told me he doesnt have me in the system! So I go onto prometric to see and my appointment was cancelled! Not even an email from prometric! Thankfully I found another appointment for Thursday and I immediately called to confirm.

Ugh I'm sorry to hear this. I've seen this happening to a lot of people on various forums the last week or so. No email but they were diligent enough to check their confirmation and that's how they found out. Just when you think Prometric can't set the bar any lower.

Baseline NBME 16 (4/26): 215
USWA1 (5/4): 249

NBME 21 (today): 224

Ok with this because at least it went up from 16. I didn't think it was too difficult but there were definitely a bunch of questions where I was just like WTF. Dropped my predicted score down by like 0.08, I don't think they give much weight to these things lol.

Overall prediction 243.27 (CI 230-255). Date adjusted prediction 245.49.

Yea I'm not sure how they weigh the NBMEs either. I plugged in a 150 for NBME 21 instead of the 220 I got and it only dropped my predicted score from 247 to 244 lol

This is the stuff of nightmares

Ok silly question but is anyone else's CI on the score predictor really small? I feel like everyone's is pretty large yet mine is like 4 points. Maybe because I'm only doing the new NBMEs and UWSAs so data for the old ones isn't included? And for the dates are you guys entering them like 5/19/20 or is there another way we're supposed to do it? My formula based prediction and date adjusted prediction are only 0.12 apart.

I've been putting like 5/19/2020, not sure if it makes a difference? I have found it weird that my CI is so large; I just tried the predict my step score website and it's predicting 245.83 +/- 8.85, which is a much smaller CI. The only data I have on the reddit predictor is NBME 16, 20, Rx % correct and USWA1.

I just tried to input the dates like that and it automatically switches it to 5/19/20 so it looks like the date entry is fine. I have NBME 20, 21, 23 and UWSA1 in there right now so maybe my CI is smaller because I'm just doing the new NBMEs and UWorld is the only question bank I plan on finishing. The step score website and the score predictor are pretty similar for me so I guess it's due to me not doing the old NBMEs or completing any other question banks.

Question for those who are just finding out they're cancelled via Prometric confirmation page or NBME: did you ever receive a confirmation email back when the cancellations were happening? From watching what's going on with my classmates, it seems like the ones who are logging on to find out they've been cancelled never got a cancellation OR confirmation email and just assumed they weren't cancelled.

Nice climb on that NBME score! 9 point increase is awesome. I take 24 in a week lol thinking I should probably mask up for this one

Finally found the magic hack to do 1600 anki cards and 2 blocks of UWOLRD and review in one day.
1.Wake up early and spend more time on anki
2. Reep the benefits of grinding anki so u get less wrong on UWORLD hence less time needing revising easily learned material
3.Cry
4.Cry some more
