the prices in the campus housing brochure they passed out during the interviews were ridiculous. I would strongly recommend finding an apartment in maryland suburbs like greenbelt, college park, hyattsville, suitland, or temple hills. these are all inexpensive areas that are along the same metro line as howard so ur commute will be a straight shot. If you can find a place walking distance to the metro station you can effortlessly pull off the commute without a car.

Hey I never received the acceptance packet bc they said it was prob sent to the wrong address so can someone tell me when what kind of info was in it? Did they have information about when school started or when to fill out for financial aid?

If so when did you guys submit your letter of intent/deposit and when did they mail out the package? Thanks for the info guys =)

I got a letter stating that I've been invited to Howard's Academic Reinforcement Program. From what it sounds like, successful completion of this 6-week program will give me full acceptance to the DDS program. Can anyone verify that this is the case with students in the ARP?

Hey, I read about that on their website. I don't remember exactly what it said about gaining full acceptance but you should call someone in the admissions office to make sure....

Hey Everyone. I've been waiting anxiously to post on this thread so to all my fellow classmates, I'm in. I'll be seeing you in the fall. I just got my letter in the mail yesterday. My dad kinda ruined the surprise by opening it before I did and calling my sibling to tel the good news. But whatever I'm sooooo freaking excited.😍

take it easy. try not to stress urself out by checking the mail each day. i interviewed with the 1st group of ppl and i got my letter a week ago. youll get in dont worry. by any chance did u get waitlisted?

Yeah...May 17-June 25. I talked to my mentor, who is also a HUCD alum. He said he had to do the same ARP program decades ago and that it is a "conditional acceptance." Ppl that don't attend or fail won't be admitte

Too excited 😀 I have a friend with a beautiful house in Maryland, only about 15 - 20 mins away from campus, that wants to rent it out to 4 incoming students. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 full and 1/2 baths. 2 assigned parking spaces and ample visitors parking for others who might have a car. Let me know if you or anyone you know is interested/has questions. I can get pictures for you. Rent would be very reasonable as it would be split 4 ways.
