***Official April 2006 Score Release Countdown Thread***

In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

Lets pray for all of you and for my very best roommate, and two of my other bestest friends. 😀 May all come with good news in the following two months.

This is for the neurotic ones who just need somewhere to vent their frustration over the wait. 😛

Ha, so if we go by the different answers they are giving out, even they do not know. So relax, I'm sure some computer geek is updating the scores right now, and they will be released tonight, as many people have told me they do. Last year, they were release at midnight, eastern time.

I would guess late tonight, because I bet they give a date of tomorrow so that in case they don't get the systems up and working perfectly by tonight, they can give up and go home and come back tomorrow to get things working. I mean it would seem reasonable for them to do that.

if anyone wants to really dive deep into tobacoo there is a great review book called "tobacco or health: the physiological and social damages caused by cigarette smoking" It is basically a review of all the current research all over the word, and has about 4,000 citations. Some of the studies are really interesting, but.....a lot of them take place in Europe, where smoking is about 1000 times worse than it is here, so I guess you have to take it for what its worth, but its a very comprehensive book (i am doing anti-smoking policy for a speech class)

Yikes, that book is $130.00 on Amazon!

i dont think you should be able to smoke in bars, but i do think that places should be accomodating to smokers... like have areas that are for smoking while still being in the bar.. or smoking lounges at airports... id really rather not be inhaling cigarette smoke ever, but i also dont like the smell of garbage trucks and we cant ban them from using the road...

Did anyone see the US-Italy game? I found it very funny when the Italian player scored for us! I had never seen that happen before...it was awsome. Wish they would have given us the 2nd one, though.

its like that time that a colombian player scored on themselves, and they lost the game (i forget which world cup), but i read somewhere because of that, the colombian cartels or mafia put a hit on him, and successfully did so at an airport drive by. I guess the mafia there are gambling men, who woulda known??

It's official. I am pathetic. It's sunny outside my apt window and all I can do is sit at the computer, occasionally letting out crazed shrieks while refreshing both SDN and the AAMC webpage every 5 seconds. 🙄

And I just know that when I go check my score tonight, the website will slow to a crawl as the server, unable to cope with a sudden spike in traffic, starts spewing black smoke.... 😱 That DOES make me wonder if they've anticipated the tsunami wave of mouse clicks set to occur as several thousand stressed out pre-meds access the site simultaneously!!

That was in 1994, US v Colombia. US won 2-1 on the own goal and the guy was indeed killed. They take football VERY seriously it seems...
