***Official April 2006 Score Release Countdown Thread***

In the continuing spirit of the tradition started last year, we will hold this as your official countdown til score release thread. You can use this as a countdown, but may also post in here general conversation if you are just going insane over this wait. Also, this may not be an exact of when the scores will come out, but we don't know how many days before the official 60 days are over they will come out. Last year, they came out around June 15th at 10pm. But this will give us a rough approximation.

Ok, let the fun begin.........

haha I know what HE is going through, last year I got some very angry calls. The game demands to much time and attention, thats why I had to quit for a while. I wish I had it now to kill the time.

I decided last minute to go through all my bubbles and make sure I did it right and found like 5 or so that I had put the wrong answer choice in even though I don't think I have ever made that mistake on a real exam before. It made me worried that there might be more things I messed up that I didn't catch...

Yes, actually last April's scores were posted a few hours after the examinee data update.

A friend who took the MCAT twice before told me that she's sure the scores will be posted at 2 AM because that's the way it turned out the previous times. I'm not staying up to find out.

Ugh, I've been trying to distract myself from MCAT scores and SDN lurking, but I give in already!

I had several MCAT score dreams this morning...including one where I got a 36 (!!) but then several of my friends from high school were there checking their scores and got a 40, 42, and 48...and none of them were premeds and one hadn't even taken the exam but still got the 43....so then in MCAT dream land a 36 was then a crappy score...

I felt bad after PS (damn proctors talked through the whole section). I think by the end of the whole test, I just felt tired and resigned and wanted to get home as quickly as possible. Even on the day of the test I was really uncertain about my performance, and it's gotten worse if anything since then... My husband still insists that I'll get a 38! Wow, I would love it if he turned out to be right, but I'm not holding my breath on that one either...

yeah, a 26 sounds very good right now, as compared to my nightmares about getting a 17 or so.


Anyone else glued to their chair today? I heard the scores usually come out at midnight, eastern time, so that translates into 10pm here at home, and around 8 or 9 in california. So, I'm kind of nervous right now. It's funny, becuase I wasn't really nervous before today, I didn't even think about it that much, I mean, there's nothing I can do about it now, I got what I got and that will be it. But I still pray for God to have mercy on my poor pre-medical soul and give me a good good good score, haha.
I've been telling my parents the scores come out today for the last two weeks, and yesterday I hinted that tomorrow was a big day, and they looked at me and said "Why?"....and I seriously wanted to cry before they told me "as if we didn't know by now". So there, to top it all, I have cruel, cruel parents.
I think they're not nervous enough because I've always been a good student and they think I'll be just fine, and that med school acceptances are not so hard to gain (I'm afraid we're a foreign family...) and my little brother (he's 12) tells me "shut up, I'm sure you did fine". Yesterday, one of my uncles asked me where I'm going to med school (as if I already knew, w/o applying yet, lol) and what specialty I chose (HAHAHAH, SO FUNNY at this point). As I said before, my family thinks med school is automatic after one decides to go to it. I think they were seconds away from asking me when I start working at the nearest hospital.

how do you set the alarm for the main MCAT page for updates?

also, i took the mcat in august 2005 and they released the scores 10:30PM CST the night before they said it would be released--so it might come out tonight. i also took the april 2004 mcat but i did not check my score until 8:00AM CST of the day they said it would be released--it was released by then. hope this helps

Not good....but what I was getting at ...over time we begin to doubt ourselves..or we feel bad at first and then we start gaining confidence. I felt like 29-32 walking out of the test...I really dont know today how I did..but to cope with that feeling is my feeling walking out of the exam

Has anybody called AAMC/AMCAS to ask about when scores will be released? I know a few people called the mcat office today, but the Iowa office has nothing to do with the score release (they told me before). I'm abroad now, so I can't call. Hope somebody gets a solid answer.
