So I have seen posts on the 20th and the 16th but nothing for the 14th. I can't wait to get this over with, counting when my kaplan course started I will have been MCATting (not a word) since October and I can't take it anymore. Most frusturating part is that I didn't have that much time to restudy, but at least I got a seat. Anyway, who's ready to take it, I know facts cold but anytime I think about the test my left arm goes numb and my face droops a little. If only I didn't get that 7 in verbal on June 15th (I apologize for abusing smiley faces in my posts there just so cool)

yea the test is five days away and already i'm starting to get really nervous... is the 14th an unpopular day to take the test? everyone seems to be talking about other test dates... it was the first one offered in my area...

Judging from the scores around here I'll be happy if this part of the curve doesn't take it. But it does seem like there would be a thread for this before a thread for the 20th.

I'm taking it on the 14th. Originally scheduled for the 9th, I realized I could a lot done in those five days, so I rescheduled. Now I'm really glad that I did.

When do you guys think we should be taking our final full length practice exam before the big day on Tuesday?? I've been saving aamc 10, trying to decide when it would be best to take...any comments??

i would say take it saturday...unfortunately, 10 was the FIRST test i took, and now i'll never know how i'd do on it with all the info i know now, and thus, the best estimate of how i'd do on the real thing...o well

I will not be taking a Full Length anymore prior to the big test, I do take 2 full length section tests per day though. I take kaplan integrated tests which are usually just ridiculous, but I am mainly taking them so I can take verbal practices after having sat through an hour of something. I actually haven't taken Biochemistry and Also did not take physics 2 yet, but I covered the material on my own and feel good about it. I am just dying to take it and get it over with, the verbal is my one fear though. I hope I get some easy passages!!! Lets do this!

so i've been taking one full length a day since monday, and i woke up this morning brain dead. so i'm waiting until saturday to take AAMC 10. unfortunately, i haven't seen any improvement in scores in my practice tests this week...

No but i have seen that 10 is the last one a lot of people take because its on the tougher side. Anyone finding it hard to study, I'm so sick of full lengths I just want to take the real thing and get it over with. I can't even sit through taking section tests this sucks. All I've done for the last 3 days is play the new zelda game sleep and watch one piece, if it works I'm gonna market it as a new testing strategy.

it doesn't matter because all the practice CBT tests are from the old paper version. i still think computerized mcat should provide us with a booklet with passages we can work in... whatever.

im so fidgety i feel like im about to have an aneurism.

I decided to go and scout out my testing center today. 17'' CRT's eh. Hopefully, good and well-lit CRT's.

i just took aamc 7 and got a 33 (13/10/10) ........... im unsure whether to take another one and risk having my confidence blown or just review until tuesday

test scores: 15 (tpr), 21 (tpr), 27 (3), 30 (4), 26 (6), 30 (5), 33 (7)

definitely don't take another. I took one today and got a 7 on verbal and i've never gotten a seven before...was upset and nervous for the rest of the day about it and my last verbal was 11 (i wish i just left it at that). No more tests until 14th

can't focus anymore, bored, just want to get it over with. two days left and I can't study anymore, I got a 14 on BS the first time I took it (you can imagine how poorly I did the first time around on the other two to be retaking it). I haven't really studied bio hard core since I took it, I've been focusing on the other two sections hope it doesn't hurt me too much.

And I thought I was the only one getting distracted by everything BUT studying. Glad to know I'm not alone 😀

I can't really focus enough to really study, so I'm just going over practice tests that I've done. I'll probably make myself go over formulas tomorrow morning, since I've noticed a tendency to mix up equations on my last few tests.

Oh yeeeeh, only 1 day left. Tomorrow I'm planning to go watch Sunshine in a theater next to my house, then get all my stuff ready for Tues, and then go to bed around 10 (since I won't be falling a sleep for a few hours). Then go time.👍

i drove there today but it was closed (I thought there was a MCAT today...dunno...). I just peeked inside, but im gonna try back tmrw see if they let me in and stuff to look @ the computers. worst case scenario i waste 10 miles worth of gas going for a drive, got n/t else to do tmrw anyway im taking off work...

I'm getting nervous too. I took part of CBT 10 and I got an 8 on verbal, when I have been averaging 10 or so, and started to freak out. I've been getting all 28 - 33 on the practices, so hopefully I can hit a 30. Anybody know if people usually bump up (or down) a little on the real thing compared to practice on AAMC CBTs? Anyway, good luck everybody! Hope to see some of you in med school!! 🙂

I found someone who took the test there a couple months ago, and just got the info from him. From what I hear, don't expect modern LCD's and optical's. Apparently my location has those giant old-fashioned monitors that take up most of the table space.

Anyhow, the "moment of truth" or whatever is coming up. I haven't been doing too hot on practice tests and I should probably be reviewing physics and electrochem right now, but for the past 2 days, I've hardly had the mindset to study. I'm too busy thinking about everything I'm going to do after Tuesday. 😳

I'm so nervous/jittery/bored, I could clean my room (but I won't).

I'm writing the MCAT in Boston while visiting friends and all I want to do is just hang out and have fun...can't wait for tomorrow. I am with everyone who can't focus anymore 😛 I suppose I just review a bit today (after all there is not that much you can do the day before). Best of luck to all

Whatever you do, DON'T PANIC. That would be more detrimental than anything else. Just try to relax, review your stronger areas (for a confidence boost), and watch the finale of Hell's Kitchen! That's my plan for today. 👍

Dude plz chill out! How are you going to put someone else's life on the line if you can't take this pressure now? I understand your anxiety and everything. But I think you are overacting!

I was all fine up until I saw your (other) post a few days ago then I got a bit nervous. Why? I don't know... Today, same thing. Your description of panic attack doesn't help yourself nor others who look through these posts. If anything, please help yourself and others by posting something LESS extreme, or perhaps something even pleasing, 😉 relaxing, etc... ? Just try once and for all!!!

We have given otherselves a good push through the last few months (at least I did). I do not regret the way how I prepped for this test. So no regrets whatever happens tomorrow 'cause I already know I'll do fine on it! (NOW PLEASE DON"T ARGUE W/ ME, HOW I CAME TO BELIEVE THIS!)

i think the anxiety is the worst post test..just try to stay off sdn, i made the mistake of running straight here after my test and didnt stop for a week. good luck everyone!

For me, the worst was the night before the test. I didn't feel that nervous, but I still couldn't fall asleep.

After the test I thought about it for like three hours. Then I just gave up as it was out of my control anyway.

I wonder how it'll feel after it's done with...like man I first started thinking about it (not studying for it) a year and a half ago and it was this huge deal and now it's tomorrow. Yikes.
