I have an anatomy practical on tuesday that I am supposed to be reviewing for however sometimes its good just to take a short break and read some SDN. Its funny how things work out, I sit next to ASDIC in class and we are good friends now. Best of luck to you Guju, and enjoy the wait until mcat scores come out lol

Ohh wow, so yoou ended up getting into one of the MD schools?????? I never knew that. I just remember you saying you got into some DO school up there. That's cool cuz I talk to ASDIC on AIM sometimes!!!!! hahaha 😀

He's cool. That's funny how 2 of the NJ people I really talked to on SDN are good friends and the 3rd is just one year ahead at the same school.

Someone told a friend of mine that scores were coming up tonight, and I was thinking to myself...I guess people are starting to go really crazy already.

i wish...it's getting old already. i have a feeling pre-med advisors know the scores. i don't have a committee, but my cousin does; there were hints that advisors were given notice when scores where finalized when he went to his june committee meeting (for the april admin). i don't know anyone with a lead-in to this august's exam date, but i would bet dollars to donuts they could give the scores at any point, but fail to, to continue their reign of power. 👎

i dont think anyone other than AAMC knows our scores at this point.

It bothers me that AAMC doesn't release scores when they're ready (assuming they're ready before the score release date). I don't think it would hurt anyone and it would really help those who are applying this cycle.

i know it's strange... i think it's because i'm facing bigger problems right now... not jail time or anything, but still pretty bad... so it hasn't phased me yet... just not a wreck yet. i was amped studying and before the test...i'm just waiting for the gears to change 😛

My sister, in all of her 11 years worth of wisdom, said that it should be something from Tiffany's. And my mom thought that was a great idea because a 45 would pretty much guarantee some serious scholarship money and she could use what she would've spend on tuition on some pretty jewelry instead!

Nah I'd rather get a new car then jewelry. Of course I'm spoiled when it comes to jewelry. As an Indian, we tend to own tons of really high quality jewelry from India that outdoes anything Tiffany's could ever sell. Especially diamonds and gold. However, the thing about jewelry is that while I own sets of diamonds and gold worth anywhere from 400+-2000+ dollars, I can't wear them except maybe at people's weddings in my parents presence. However, a nice car is worth its weight in gold because you'll get so much use out of it.

That's what Indian parents who are wealthy give their kids. Not mine, but other parents. LOL. My Pakistani friend got a new car as soon as he finished the MCAT. It was a 350Z Nissan. I was sooooo jealous cuz that was one mighty beautiful car.

I don't even wear a watch anymore, lol. I'm too lazy to get the battery replaced since it costs like $100+ to have it shipped back and done. 😡

I'm 100% happy with my cell phone clock. 😀

I'm thinking of bad scenarios during test day... but I have nothing... I was running out of time and had to hurry through the last passage in verbal, but other than that it went flawlessly... I hope this spells out a good score on the real thing, though

Ditto. The first several minutes of PS I had this impending sense of doom, not really because of the questions, but because "This was it - not one of 10 practice tests I took!" I really hope I didn't screw myself over in that section due to test anxiety. There were also a couple of passages where all I could think was "wtf?" and I think I psyched myself out of some right answers there. We'll see...11 more days!

I actually felt most confident during the PS section. After I opened the booklet, I just blankly stared at the first page for 10-15 seconds to let it sink in that this was the real exam. After that, I was fine.

Until I hit VR. That portion just didn't go well at all like UMP had his go. I'm just glad I didn't have the same form as he did (curve). I messed up my timing to have 7 mins a passage instead of 9. So yea, I screwed up.

same here, PS was my strong point, and honestly it was so hard. I have never had to guess on a PS question, let alone 3 of them. Since I usually make 6-7 mistakes overall in the PS, that already puts me at 10 wrong 🙁, I guess Ill just have to pray and hope for the best. GL all.

me, there's no hope on this test...i guessed on 60% of the answers (guessing i mean, this one feels right, 20% i knew, the rest--just bubbled) plus, my car is a P.O.S. see? it's a loss loss...

grrr.... to all of you!!! to those of you like myself that will be reviewing scores with a box kleenex and a whole half bottle of Johnny Walker Black Label, don't let your shnozes get too red--you want to at least tell your annoying classmates and labmates you got that 43S right?

The one thing I realized just now though is it's been kind of nice not being complete at schools. Without the MCAT score, it seems like no one bothers to review your file which means no rejection notices to come home to/open your inbox for. The addition of those will stink...

Puffer, my personal choice is Flor de Cana rum imported from Honduras with lemonade. More tasty than johnny..However, I think a certain amt of sobriety will be necessary to at least type the password and id correctly...11 more days!

Yes, I have a 350Z. It's a 2003 base model. I've had it for a little over three and half years now, but only 11k miles. Not much travel needed at college with a free city bus. Since it's the base model, it doesn't have traction control or vehicle dynamic control (computer applies brakes independently in bad situations). Also don't have cruise control let alone mirrors in the sun visors. I like the basics. 6-speed manual. Very nice, short throw, gears. The clutch is nice a firm, but not that heavy. My brother's 5-speed Civic feels disconnected from the gearbox and clutch, way too soft.

I love the low end torque, but it's lacking up high in the RPM band. My friend's old Audi S4 was really good at the upper end, same with the M3. I like the steering. Very precise and you feel more connected to the road than most cars. Brakes are okay, nothing great imo. I haven't done any modifications to it. I do have a set of headers (exhaust manifolds), but don't have the tools to install them, lol.

I did have the chance to go for a ride in a Ferrari F40 once and after that, my Z felt like a Cadillac, no joke. The F40 was incredible. The seats really hold you in place and you can feel everything on the road. Extremely fast because of the twin turbos. I had the chance to try out the clutch and it's heavy as ****! If felt like I was trying to work out my leg, damn. After that, I decided my next sports car will have to be a supercar, lol. I just don't have $350k yet. :/

I have Firefox, too, and do the same thing.
