I am getting pretty nervous too!! and to make matters worse I can't even do anything for distraction. No matter what I keep wanting to just sit right beside the computer. I am literally counting the minutes. Anyone have any good websites to keep busy !!

I think it really just matters where you live and how close it is to the school you matched to if you did, or at least the address you are having corresponance sent, I dont expect to get mine for a few days since I am in VA and that is where everything is sent even though I live in TX. Dont get pysched out yet anyone. The match hasnt even been posted yet. Just keep finding things to keep your time occupied!

everyone who got a letter live pretty close to the school to which they matched. they sent the letters yesterday - most people won't get their letters til monday (especially if they're not in Texas right now)

Note: if you're planning on hitting up some parties tonight, as I am, take along a piece of paper with your TMDSAS ID and password so you can still check it online in case you get drunk and can't remember them later!

I matched with SA last year and I didn't get an acceptance letter from them until about a week later--and the address they mailed it to was Austin. So don't freak out if you have a letter or not--it depends on the school, your address, and the efficiency of the post office worker who sorted the letters...variables you can't control. congrats to everyone!

Thanks catch for that word of encouragement !! I think everyone at this point is in a frenzy particularly with some people claiming that if you haven't gotten in then you won't have an acceptance letter in the mail. SO anyway, thanks for enlightening us.........I guess the best way is just let the countizzle contizzle 😛

i live really, really close to southwestern. the letter was dated, i kid you not, "february 1, 2004", postmarked yesterday. the mail is fickle...it reaches some people earlier and other people later. i am POSITIVE (i'd bet $$$$ on it) that not getting a letter today means NOTHING in terms of not matching. for any school. so let vikvaz' original countdown be the measure...not the 10 or so people who happen to live close to the school they matched at. hang in there peeps!!!! good news is on the way for all of you 😀

Does anyone know whether the applicant status page look differently if you find out you dont match---I know we all played that nightmare in our head about being in denial as we repeatedly refresh the page, but I would think it should still say NONE MATCHED or atleast have a different update date. Anyone know?

I don't know if this will calm anyone, but my last update was 1/7/04, and I got my letter today offering me a spot at UT Houston. So I really, really, really don't think the update date has anything to do with the match results.

Last Update is when you last changed your preferences

Last Action Date is on the applicant profile and shows the last time the TMDSAS did something to your app 🙂
