I say its the scores. I did some "troubleshooting". They say XX, XX, XX, sites are down right now.
Go to www.aamc.org and then go to popular links and choose any of the popular links like AMCAS or anything else they listed.
Those still work.
MCAT is the only one that doesn't.

Well, if you click on AMCAS, and then on the "apply now" link, it shows the same message. So maybe it's not the scores...

Yeah the first time I took the test, I checked every day after the test, even though I knew it wouldn't be there til 2 months. I have a friend who used to lurk here before he started med school. he took the test in April 2004, and he said he used to do the same thing as well, but normally wouldn't admit that out loud. He did extremely well on his MCAT and throughout the process and is currently an MS1

They put these messages up last October, but DID NOT put any such messages up during the April 2005 score release in June, so I wouldn't be dependent on these, just on checking SDN or MCAT Thx for your scores.

They DID put little messages up in June. I didn't take the test, but I was nervous for all the April MCAT SDNers, too. Sometime in the afternoon/evening of that day, they posted that scores will be up at 10pm EST for the April 2005 test.

Yep, I remember. Everyone here on the West Coast was ready for 7pm on June 15th. However, this time for the August test, no Thx message has appeared yet, so who knows?

9:55 pm eastern - the SDN forums go down for some unknown reason.
10:00 pm - I go check for my score, but it's not up yet
10:02 pm - I check again, still not up
10:05 pm - SDN still down
10:10 pm - THx is a bastard
10:15 pm - Scores come out, but everyone gets a 15J
10:20 pm - SDN gets hammered, to no avail
10:25 pm - The world loses the next generation of doctors to binge drinking and mental breakdowns

Sorry...Just a scenario I've played out in my head.

Man...August 05 was the 3rd time I wrote the MCAT. I pray to god it's the last time!!!!

Now I have a really hot date tonight...do I check my scores before I go?...I'm not sure. I feel like if I do and I get a crappy score the date will suck....if I don't check it then my cell phone will be going off every second with other friends who wrote it asking for my score....Also instead of concentrating on the date I might be thinking about what my score could be....ehhhh what's a guy suppose to do!!

A. Go out, it will take your mind off scores.
B. Turn your cell phone off while on your date.

My friend took me to dinner a couple hours before scores came out and it did wonders for me. I suggest you go out as well.
