I am very surprised how fast the app cycle is going. I submitted my AADSAS on June 1st and I received an interview invite from Case today in the mail. Thats with average DAT scores too. 🙂

what date and what type of scores we talking 🙂

Well I am calling tomorrow morning to get the soonest possible date. My AA was 19, TS 20, and PA 19. There was a 15QR hiding in there that I am not too proud of but oh well. I had some other stuff like a solid GPA (3.87), research, and pre-dental club president that helped a lot.
 
hey for those of you who have gotten Case interview invites already, what date did your aadsas stuff get sent out??

my aadsas stuff got sent out in the first mailing (june 9th) but my reference letters didn't get sent out until the 16th..

I have 2 of the 4 letters sent. The other were received by AADSAS on 6/26 and 27. I hope they go out soon. My english professor sent a letter to Nova, though

I got an invite to interview with the University of Florida today. I am so excited. It will be on August 28.

I got their "application received" email a couple days ago (7/7). I really hope to hear from them soon.

Yeah I got that application received email on Monday 7/7 as well. I was very surprised that they already invited me for an interview this fast.
 
Got mail today from Case saying that they want me to retake my DAT's and submit new scores. Till then my application is on "HOLD".

DAT 19/19/21, GPA 3.75 is this possible? what the hell is going on?

Dude, forget case and get in somewhere else. Those are good scores. Who wants to live in cleveland anyways.

Don't worry too much, you should be fine at other schools. I'm sure you'll be admitted somewhere.

Did you fill out their supplemental yet. I received the "application received email" a couple days ago. Followed by an email for a request of my DAT scores. What do your stats look like?

I am working on filling out the supplemental application. For UF, you don't get a supplemental unless they are going to interview you. A little different.

My stats I assume you mean DAT scores, and GPA.
My GPA is 3.83. Science 3.81.
DAT:
PAT: 19
RC: 18
QR: 18
BIOL: 18
GC: 30
OC: 21
TS: 21
AA: 21

Nothing too low, but a little scattered.

has anyone have receive an email form NYU asking for $75 toward application? Should I pay now or should I wait until they actually invite me in for an interview?😕:scared:
I am have only recieve email confirming that my papers arrived to their schools... so I don't know if I should wait for the actual interview invitation and then pay they fee? what to do???:idea:

can someone help me???

NYU asks you to send a check or money order at the same time when you submit your AADSAS application. Don't be scared, though. Just write a check now and send it out today or tomorrow.

I agree. Case sucks. Who has time to retake the DAT in a short amount of time? I sure don't. I am in the same boat and I say forget them.

thanks, I am going to send it today, I thought that once you pay to the AASDA that would cover the expenses of other schools application, this is my first time applying...so I am a little nervous..:scared:
 
status updated for nova 🙂

pretty quick seeing how i sent my secondaries on last friday! only took them 2 business days.



btw, i just realized that nova gave me interview without an official DAT score!

my ASSDA's papers have been sent to the school already but I want to add two more school to the list is it too late now? (I haven't send the DAT scores neither the committee letters) What should I do? How late is too late?

2008 ADEA.
Out of state;2300 applicants- 250 interviewed-154 accepted-48 enrolled.
In State: 450 applicants-125 interviewed- 95 accepted-57 accepted.
 
😕how late is too late for the dat? im signed up for it on the 29th but im no where near ready...i have had some legal and family issues this past year that have taken much of my time away from my studying. i am also in the process of changing cities and was thinkin late august should give me enough time....my app is in but im worried that getting my dat done so late will hurt my chances!!!!!!! HELP??????

I found out today i have an interview at nova on december 3 anyone else on the same day as me? I have no idea why my interview date is in december..... seems kinda late compared to other interview dates people have been receiving so far
 
Hey Skibum19, is that your first and only DAT on predents? If it is, you may not like the news about your QR score. This excerpt is taken from this page from the U's website:

"DAT

At or above 19 in the areas of Academic Average, Perceptual Ability and Total Science subtest of the DAT.
At or above 17 in all other areas."

That 16 in QR will probably keep you out of the EDP, unless you talked to them already about it. If you do not qualify for it, at least you got the interview for the regular cycle done before school starts.
 
For those of you got an invite/rejection..

I submitted it on Jun 30 and my webstar app was created on July 1. aadsas mailed out Jun 30. Loe mailed out July 07
1. Still no change on the staus boxes.
2. They created another webstar app on July 16.

I called Nova several days ago and they told me they've received everything, but one said something about they haven't entered my science courses....?? Did this happen to any of you? Well..I guess, about #1, I'll be fine as long as they received my app from aadsas.

How about #2, any of your webstar application has 2 same fall 2009 processed applications under admission term? I asked them about thins as well..and she said, she sees my app so don't worry...but I am worried...Should I call them again???

That's exactly how mine looks right now too. They should have everything of mine though. Maybe I'll call them in a week or so.
 
I just received an interview invite from Indiana! I am an out of state resident does anybody know the interview:acceptance ratio for Indiana?
 
So if my apps weren't mailed out until July 9th, should I not expect to hear anything until August at the earliest?

Indiana interviews a lot of out-of-state applicants. But considering the OOS tuition is so expesnive a lot of people drop their spots at IU. It is a good school and I actually felt really comfortable there. Dr. Kasberg said that if you get an itnerview, its about a 1 in 2 chance (or a flip of a coin) if you get accepted or not. Congrats on the interview invite, and enjoy your time there!

I'd be there if I didn't feel that staying closer to family was more important to me.
