I'm getting really worried- haven't heard from anyone. Do you think I'll get interviews? Applied to USC, UCLA (yeah, right), UIC, and Marquette.

Those are pretty decent stats. When did you apply? Seems like the early birds are the ones that have received interviews. My stats are similar to yours and I have receive several invites but I was done with my app on May 26 or so. Went out on the first aadsas mailing.

I know that Marquette doesn't do interview invites until later this month/early October....

Mine was pretty early, too. I think it was June 6 or so. Seems like this application cycle must be super competitive. The stats for some of the rejected applicants are pretty impressive.

it is more than just stats. Volunteer work, community service, age, School attended, LOR. There are many factors.

letter in mail. then you can call them and pick a date over the phone. i think they're mostly filled til february.

for those of you who got interview from columbia today, when did u guys submit the application? I am so frustrated cuz my application's suppose to be completed on Aug. 6th, but they messed up my payment and now I have to wait longer.

btw, i just found out about my upenn interview today. I called them to check up on my application status and admissions told me i was invited for an interview. I have yet to recieve an official mail from them.

Oh, btw, for anyone who is going to SUNY Buffalo's interview, do you know what the "10 minute case scenario discussion" is? And is the writing sample just an explication of why you want to go into dentistry? 😕

what do you mean (yeah, right) for UCLA, is it a bad school? i was planning to transfer there..

Yeah. I also believe he/she was implying that they did not believe they could get in. UCLA looks to be tough to be admitted to (what school isn't?) but from the stats I've been researching, the standards seem on the high side... anyways. Good Luck!!!

Sorry I haven't responded sooner. I was at my Case interview yesterday and didn't have access to the internet. My stats are 3.82 GPA, 3.72 SciGPA 20/20/20 DAT.

Case was great by the way. I loved the school. The director of the admissions office offered me a ride to the airport after my interview and he let do a little assisting in the free clinic downstairs so my interview was like 2 and half hours long! He was a way nice guy. I would definitely love to go to Case but I don't think the wallet will like it much. It is so expensive there.
