VCU does things different. The only one can answer your question is Dr. Healy. He will let you know at the end of the interview. Good luck. 🙂

Here are my interviews so far:

Notification date: 8/30
Method of notification: email

AADSAS mail-out date: 2nd batch (took DAT in mid-July)
Application complete date: sometime in August (exact date not sure)
GPA: 3.4
DAT (AA/TS/PAT): 21/23/21
Interview date: 11/16

School: Buffalo
Notification date: 9/27
Method of notification: email
Residency: International
AADSAS mail-out date: 2nd batch (took DAT in mid-July)
Application complete date: 9/25
GPA: 3.4
DAT (AA/TS/PAT): 21/23/21
Interview date: 11/18

I think I'm deferred for case. They updated my aadsas that I should check back after dec.1 🙁 which means no pre-Dec. interview invite from them.

FYI,
I called Nova yesterday, and they said the earliest interview date possible as of yesterday was January something..I guess pre-Dec. interviews are now completely booked for Nova.
For Buffalo, as of yesterday, the earliest date was 11/10. They only offer Thusdays and Fridays for interviews.

Anyone having the same interview dates with me at each school?
I'm still waiting for NYU, my dreeeeam school :luck::luck::luck:

For Buffalo, with the 9/25 complete date, are you saying that it took them ~two months to send the email saying your application is processed and complete? I haven't heard anything back from them yet, I was just curious.

Hey benzatone,

The delay was because they were waiting for my TOEFL scores.
I am an international applicant, so I had to submit TOEFL scores as well as DAT scores.

If you haven't got ANY response from them, then why don't you call the admissions office to check your status?

Aha ok, they've sent me confirmations for my AADSAS and payment, just haven't told me my application is complete yet (but I'm still within the 3-4 week window anyway, was just hoping it wasn't going to be 2 months+).

Probably everyone knows by now, but I had to confirm it for myself. I called LECOM and checked, there is no more fall interview spots left. Next interview invitation calls should come through at the end of November for Spring per admission office.

I dont, but I have interviewed with Dr. Powell once and Dr. Lowder(sp?) once and they are really cool. I am hoping they do the interviews. Have you interviewed with any of them before? I think it will be pretty straight forward. Mine is on Oct. 13th so let me know how it goes. I think I am going to lunch with some of the current students right after my interview as well.

I met with Dr. Lowder on Monday at BYU then he called me the next day. I thought he was great, too. I am also going to lunch right after, so I'll let you know how it all goes.

How do you know what batch you were in? I submitted AADSAS 8/12 got interview 8/30 @ Midwestern and VCU interview 9/27 (yesterday)

Still hoping on some news from my state schools, but they historically take a while. Nonetheless, I'm appreciative. Good luck to all. Also, don't forget that many people who have multiple interviews will be accepted to their preferred school Dec. 1st, which opens up the chance for more interview offers. The game is faaarrrrrr from over.

Buffalo application complete date: None
Buffalo invite: 8/24

I was part of the first batch of invites for every NY school 🙂 So those are the earliest times or time frame ranges... I suppose?
 
UF sent me an interview request on 9/26 around 3 pm via email. I almost gave up on them and Temple, and in the space of 1 week they both appeared in my inbox. I stopped trying to believe that I was going to see that inbox that I use for my applications to light up on my phone and then on both occasions I opened up my mail app and they were there.

So far this is my 5th interview from the 8 schools I applied to. I am just happy because some schools said with being out of school for 7 years it would be tough for me and here I am with interviews from some of those same schools. So to everyone out there who may be down and out about invites, it's not over!!

Interviews from: UConn (Oct), Case Western (Feb), Nova (Nov), Temple (Oct), and UF (Nov).

Still waiting on: UPenn, USC, and Marquette.

DAT: 20 AA /21 TS /19 PAT /19 Reading /18 QR
overall GPA:3.67 and science GPA: 3.62
 
I was just placed on pre-interview hold at Buffalo, and was wondering if you guys had any advice on these questions:

1) I think they're waiting on fall semester grades, but I'm not sure, should I reach out and ask for the Committee to wait until the grades are submitted? That way I don't get rejected beforehand.

2) Does a pre-interview hold essentially mean a rejection drawn out over a couple of months?

3) Should I send "unofficial" mid-term grades throughout the semester? Or letters to express my high interest? (this is my #1 school)

How on earth did you get so many interviews from these schools already (especially as an OOS) but got rejected from UCSF? that's crazy. I didn't even know that UCSF started giving out rejections.

I ask myself the same thing 🙁

I was also in the second mailing batch on July 4th, so that helps.
 
How do you know which batch you're in? I keep reading applicants write they got in some batch.

It depends on the Mailing Date of your application, or the date your application was released to schools by AADSAS. The first batch of applications was released 6/27. Each week since that date, a new batch of applications is released.

Check your Mailing Date under Dental School Designations in AADSAS. Then count the weeks back to the week of 6/27. That will roughly tell you what batch you were in.

Tufts didnt even send out invitations yet. They will start (hopefully) beginning this week. Hence, if you are in the late batch, you wont receive it till after December.

And I did a late, very recent, application submittal to Case. So its no surprise that I haven't heard anything on that end.
