Why all the pessimism and distrust?
You're limited number of posts. Your 1st one was the tell you have a bunch of interviews. Unless I missed it, I don't check this thread everyday but no one else has posted they have a UCLA interview yet. Until you. Once few more people are like ok its legit.
Plus there are people who do post fishy stuff, I see it more in the DAT forum but you can check out predents and at least imo some profiles look fishy. could be a typo which would makes more logical.
Probably because you're a first-time poster whose first post wast titled 'Bragging...' and you threw out not only a massive list of interviews, but in particular a school that a lot of people get all excited about which hadn't shown any invite activity until now.
I don't really care. But that would be my suspicion.
I got an interview invite from UCLA the same day as extremekiter. I'm a new member too - I prefer reading threads to posting unless I have to.. Just sayin'.
I thought it was funny that they asked me what kind of sandwich I wanted (through email) after confirming the interview date. Anyway, I'm stoked!

Like others have said, Trolls are commonplace on the interwebs. That, and you had troll written all over that post. Your very first post was "bragging" which never comes across well... This is forum is a friendly place, but when someone comes along bragging, with no credibility at the time, then yes, everyone thinks you are a troll. Now that you have gained a little credibility with other people posting UCLA interviews, the pessimism is gone. Good luck with your interviews. 👍

I like how frequenting sdn often gives people the confidence to say which schools have and havent given interview invites yet...
With all due respect, Im sure people would not have doubted extremekiter's claims had his post number been above 50, and especially if his first post had not been titled "bragging"
The problem is that this forum does have an occasional troll that comes on here and tries to be douche bag by making up lies and fake scores and stuff. Therefore, people here want to be precautious, so that the 1000s of aspiring doctors that come read these forums are not misinformed or misled.
And trust me, some trolls have tried to ruin peoples chances by giving messed up advice., etc.
Overall, SDN is supportive, helpful community where we can all communicate, motivate, and help each other out.

I sent my application in July 4th and just heard from them last week. They sent me a secondary application (just basic info, no essays) and then I had an invite the day after I handed it in. Good luck!! 🙂

That's Interesting! As a MD resident with awesome DAT scores, i would suspect you would have received an interview by now. I had my (MD resident) interview at UMD (awesome school!!) on 10/4 and my mail-out-date was 8/26. I have no doubts you'll hear from them soon. Think positive 🙂

I'm a Virginia resident and my mailout date was 7/29. I'm close to losing all hope of an interview. I'll give it the rest of this week and hope for the best. Otherwise I'm fearing rejection.
How many schools did you apply? Got any rejection yet?
You haven't heard anything from VCU? I can't speculate because i dont know your stats.
