IM SOOOO EXCITED! SECOND INTERVIEW!!! Figures I would get interviews to both the schools across the country and none around the area yet! lol! Def not complaining though 🙂 Anyone else going to UNLV on Fri Sept 30?

You're OOS? I'm in-state... but even so, my stats are not superb either. But who knows? They might see something else they like besides numbers on your application 🙂
 
Columbia offered me an interview earlier this week by email, and MUSC called me this morning offering an interview September 9. My app was submitted 7/18, but not complete (LOR) until a little over a week ago.

GPA: 4.0/ 4.0

DAT: 22 AA / 22TS / 20 PAT/ 24 RC (none 17 or below)

I was scheduled for Nov 8, which I thought was kind of late for a pre-Dec interview, so maybe they don't do many before Dec? I'm not really sure though. Congrats on the interview - Dec 2 is still pretty early on, so I wouldn't be worried!

Thanks for the confidence booster. Its good you have two interviews already. Good Luck with the texas schools. I'm assuming that's your preference.
 
What questions are interviewees asking the interviewers at interviews? I feel like almost anything anyone would want to know is online.

For me I ask a lot of questions in regard to the clinic because that is what really matters in the end. I ask what kind of patient pools does the school have. What are the clinical requirements that students need to accomplish to graduate and if there are students that had to post-pone graduation because of it (which happens), and where or not students get their own chair or do they have to schedule chair time.

The interviews have been trickling in this week, but I'm sure the next wave will bring much more 👍
 
Just received an email that Buffalo has completed preliminary processing of my application for admission to the incoming class of 2012. But it says they are still waiting for my DAT scores to complete my application. The DAT scores were mailed out August 12th, so im guessing they should get it soon?

Someone needs to make a new thread where we can list just the days that certain schools have emailed out invites. I really don't care who's complaining about their lack of interviews, just which schools are doing what.

Why on earth would they reject you, even if you're OOS? you seem like such a strong applicant! How did you show the school that you're interested even after you were rejected initially?
 
That was the main reason they rejected me initially. 😕 They assumed I would just choose to go with my state school. When they found out I was really interested in IU, they offered me the chance to interview. Good thing I emailed them back!:highfive:

So excited to hear from Penn, I was having doubts after being deferred by Iowa, and still haven't heard from Minnesota, Louisville, or Creighton.
 
Just got an email from NYU that my application is complete and my application fee is processed, and it will be sent to the admissions committee for review, and they will notify me if they decide to give me an interview... Anyone else get this? I guess there's still hope lol, these SDN post freak me out when people think that if an email states that they receieved everything and it's under review that you will get a rejection letter soon lol. I really think it's just a notification that I should hear from them soon lol

I got that message today too from NYU! *Crossing fingers*

However, I did come home to a rejection letter from Nova that was sent before they even received my full application..

On a lighter note! I just got an interview from BU. They notified my by email yesterday, and it's scheduled for September 27th!!
 
Glad to see i am not the only one getting a bit anxious while waiting for interviews... mailing date was 8/12 though. :xf:

I have with all my top picks since my mail out date was a bit late. UCSF sent me the secondary right away and is reviewing it right now, UCLA and Harvard both received the application but are taking their sweet time getting back to me. I already have an interview at Midwestern and most my other schools are reviewing my app.

What did Harvard say when you contacted them? When will they be letting us know (if at all)?
 
dudes. I am on a bomb ass road trip to socal and then vegas, is it smart to hit up dental schools on the way?? USC UCLA WESTERN UNLV mebe they'll show more love if i show up in person and harass them?
