wait...is there a supplemental application received e-mail for ucsf? i only have the one that confirms that I made the payment for the supplemental app. is that the same thing??

Also my #1 choice. Got that 7-8 week email the night before. Last name starts with "P"
 
is anyone w/o an interview calling in to ask their status? I have good scores, but im OOS nearly everywhere. will the dental schools hate me if i pester them with questions?
 
To all those who have received UoP interviews: did you receive supplementals? If so, when were they sent relative to your mail-in date and interview invite?

UCSF will email you a link to their supplemental app. You have two weeks to complete it. If you don't complete it in tue two weeks you are rejected.

There is no supplemental app for UoP.

I have been out of school for 7 years and took the DAT for the first time this July.
DAT (AA/TS/PAT/Reading/ section with score below 17): 20/21/19/19/NONE

Couldn't have done that without Chad's videos and DAT destroyer. Kaplan disappointed me big time (I was getting a 16 AA with them)...only thing that helped was that I was able to use their test bank for questions and to simulate the real test.

My overall GPA is 3.67 and science GPA is 3.62. I applied to 8 schools that I thought were best for me after my phone calls, as I did 2 years at a CC and most schools have strict rules against credits from CCs and won't take most if not ALL credits from a CC, and most schools don't like grades over 5 years old.

I had 4 letters of req (2 Sci, 1 employer, 1 dentist) and my application was sent out on 8/12.

Case Western - interview Feb (email 8/30)
Nova - interview Nov (email 8/19)
UConn - interview Oct (email 8/19)

UPenn - sent in supplemental with fee early July and got letter in the mail in mid Aug said didn't have DAT score, called left message and no reply
Marquette - sent letter in the mail mid Aug saying they didn't have DAT score, but I called and they said everything is there
USC - email 8/24 saying they have everything
UF - email 8/12 that they have everything
Temple - on AADSAS says under application complete/under review? But I haven't sent any fee or supplemental?

On AADSAS only 4 schools update (UF, Case, UConn [updates frequently], and Temple) and the rest do nothing.
I'm currently doing a grad level class at the local University as Nova wanted to see some current school work to see if I can handle being back at school.

Did anyone receive an email saying that UCSF received their supplemental. I got one saying they received my payment, but no other one.

No confirmation, just the receipt for me as well. No worries.
You can check the app online to make it's submitted.
 
I got both the receipt and Supplementary received emails from UCSF.

Congrats!!! That is one of my top choices. Our stats seem similar so I hope that a light will shine from them for me 🙂

I just wanted to give hope to those that have given up on a certain school. I completely gave up on getting an interview at UNLV (like I had for other schools) because people behind my application complete date were getting interviews and I assumed that they did not like what they saw with my app and had passed me over for interview. Now I feel like I'm living proof that just because people behind you got interviews doesn't necessarily mean you should count yourself out yet. Good luck peepoz!!

I think about two weeks ago maybe? I took my time on it tho....it was REALLY long

got a call while in class. I was curious enough to call back and realized it was from uop. so baffled and anxious and

my heart started pounding.
5 minutes later. i got a call again and set it up for Nov. 3rd OHHHHH YEAHHHHHH!

and its still pounding!

I think he's 20s across the board and mid 3's for GPA. He posted them on here before. And closer to the start of the alphabet...so that theory about alphabetical order isn't holding up.

congrats dude.. by any chance do you have any sort of relationship with UOP (done a program there, from cali, family member went there, etc)?

DAT:20/20/20 nothing below 19.
3yrs of volunteering at non-profit clinic / 2 yr at ER
1.5 yr of preceptor ship
3 yr of working (bouncer at a bar, transfer student leaders)
pre-health/club, a bit of research. etcccc
my application & PS is super heavily focused on public dental care, community service.

In April, one of the admission staff came to our school. I keep in touch with him via emails and talked with him on the phone once.
I am sure he was my biggest advocate at the committee.

I've heard that UOP loves this kind of stuff...makes me with I had shown more interest in before applying.

16 on QR 🙁 Did not think I would get any interviews with that score!

That is what I hear 😀 Im so nervous right now, that I cant even sleep. I need to relax!! I thought that I would have heard from MWU-AZ since I submitted the secondary application a week before MWU-IL. When I submitted MWU-IL, I got an invite 2 days later. I do hear MWU-AZ moves a little slower 🙂

I visited UOP to show interest and talked on the phone with them. I wish they would call me! 🙁

I got this email to. Do we have to do anything? Fill anything out? Or is it just a way to let us check our application status?

Submitted my TMDSAS early July.
 
If it says Application Complete above the status ("pending") you should be all set. If not, look at the both, it should list what is not submitted yet (i.e. transcripts from AADSAS & fee)
 
Just received the email for the UIC portal access.
The waiting game is so hard.

Working full-time at a dental lab, taking 12 credits of science in the mornings in hopes of boosting my gpa. (already working for next year's app cycle just in case)
Get home at like 10pm and check my email, and there is an invite at UCSF for Oct. 24. Northern CA native, and although I would gladly attend any school at this point, UCSF has always been my dream school.

Mailing date 7/16, gpa 3.33, sci 3.13.
DAT: AA 19, TS 19, PAT 24 (RC 22, QR 17, OC 20, GC 18, BIO 19)

Thank you to the SDN community; you guys have been a big support and a great resource over the past few years. Just goes to show that mediocre stats can be overcome by strengths in other areas! Good luck everyone, I know there are many folks out there who are going through doubts/disappointments, as I have. It's was tough to hear counselor after counselor ask me, "Are you sure there isn't another profession you'd like to pursue? Your stats just aren't competitive enough!" Don't give up 🙂
