😀 I just got off the phone with the professor I want to work with at UVA. I got an interview! It's scheduled for Feb. 12th. I got the impression that it wasn't a big interview weekend, more of an individual thing.

YES! I reeeeally want to go there.

Temple developmental psych interviews have all gone out. Not sure if that matters to anyone, but me though.

Hey all-

SUNY Albany will have their interview weekend on March 10th. They haven't made official invites yet- but will be doing so in a week or two.

Anyone heard from Syracuse U?
 
I just got off the phone with my POI at University of Texas as Austin and he invited me to come down and visit, on MY own schedule, whenever was good, as they don't normally do in-person interviews. 🙂 I think that's a good sign!

American University (clinical) is beginning to send out invites via phone call...
 
My person of interest at Duke told me today that I'm unofficially invited for an interview for either Feb 16 or 19. He said that they have had some problems getting applications in from the grad school (but now all are in) and finding times for all of the faculty to meet. However, they're supposed to have a final meeting about whom to invite tomorrow, and invites should go out early NEXT WEEK. Nevertheless, this could be delayed further due to the snow/ice expected in North Carolina tomorrow.
 
I just got an interview to the University of La Verne's clinical-community PsyD program!! I am SO excited, I wasn't sure if I would get an invite b/c my stats aren't amazing (they are good, but I just think they could be better) and this is a more competitive school than the others I've applied to. Instead of having 100-200 students, they only accept 18-20. I am so excited!!! Has anyone heard anything about this school?? I would appreciate hearing anything you know!! 🙂

I am still waiting. Their deadline was later this year so I am expecting to hear a bit later if I hear at all.

Anyone hear on Florida State? I am assuming their interview invites are out since their interview date is the 10th, but I haven't seen anyone on this board confirm.

For those who do not know, this is a listing of the schools who have extended interviews or, in some cases, when they plan on extending interviews. If they haven't yet extended interviews, I have put the date in which they plan on extending interview invitations in (). I am just adding to this list as I see them in the thread.

Does Alliant International University count?
 
Well, I can't answer for the guy who is updating the list, but Alliant does count!!! I'm sure he will update it, he seems to be a very nice (and reasonable) guy. Besides, he even added my interview from Argosy San Francisco... if that counts, Alliant definitely does!! 🙂 Congrats again.
 
I've been told that Miami University of Ohio has started to invite people to their interview day.

University of La Verne is having interviews on: 2/16, 2/23, and 3/2. They allow you to pick your date, first come, first serve.

I'm going to call first thing tomorrow and try to get the 3/2 interview... I'll have the most practice then, and they'll remember me more... but the wait might kill me!!! hehe.

Good luck. It's a nice school setting. I like their older buildings and the surrounding area is filled with trees. I always thought the environment is important too. You'll be there for a long time.
 
Wright State University's Psy.D interview dates are March 3rd and 5th. University of Denver's Psy.D interview dates are the last weekend in Feb and first weekend in March.

<sigh> No word from either program yet.......................... this is getting depressing.

And, yes, Temple is awesome and so is Philly.
 
Do we know if all the invites went out for U-Mass-Boston? I'm shocked that only one person on this board received an invite (at least that posted), when the school offers 35-40 interviews.

Just curious.
 
Hey for anyone who has applied or heard from University of Alabama. I know that people have gotten interviews. I had been emailed by my professor of interest awhile ago and he had a graduate student call me and talk to me about the program. Then he emailed me and asked me what some particular research questions were that i wanted to explore in graduate school. Then nothing. I havent heard a peep. Did you guys here from someone before your invite?? Do you think he didnt like my answer and i am no longer being considered. That was in the beginning of Jan and i know some people said they have interviews coming up this friday. WHat do you think??

Well I know that they are having interviews for the Clinical program tomorrow and one other day...I received a call from my professor of interest only inviting me for an interview and then I received an email with details. I don't know which program you applied to, but this professor may do things differently and may have just held a phone interview with you or it could be the alternative. Either way, stay positive.

This is my second time applying. I have a much stronger application and I also made sure I picked schools based on fits and not on the name. So far it has really helped. I really cannot stress fit fit fit! I think the reason I was rejected from IU is the fit wasn't there. But it was fun to dream big and try, regardless!

I applied to the Clinical psych-law track. Yeah i am trying to stay positive but i think its strange that I wouldnt get an interview after what seemed like strong interest from that professor. Anyway good luck at your interviews everyone! Questions: Is this an in person interview people have at ALabama or just phone?

I worked extremely hard to make sure I had a great fit with every program I applied to..unfortunately it makes rejections that much more personal 🙁
The programs to which I had the best match "fit" wise already rejected me..

Hi Ella,

This is also my second time applying and I feel so much more confident in my application and the schools that I chose. Last year I think I choose schools based on their name and location and then identified professors with whom I would like to work with and although I applied to a lot more schools I only had 3 interviews and 1 acceptance and I didn't realize until after the fact (well, during the process of interviewing) how important "fit" really was. So this year that is what I focused on and so far I am very pleased with the outcomes.

Yeah, seriously. I haven't heard from them either, except a letter that said my app was complete and they would be reviewing them. It was dated Jan. 17th. Okaaaaaaay.
 
I just emailed with my POI at UWashington Seattle's Clinical PhD program about an unrelated matter. He said "no decisions have been made about grad school admissions."
 
I've tried calling Drexel's admissions office a few times and can never get through...I always get transfered to an answering machine ("due to their high call volumes" they can't get to the phone)!

Does anyone know when Adelphi will be extending interviews?

Hi there,

Just got an interview invite voicemail and subsequent e-mail for UMaine.

Interviews are on Monday, 2/12 or Monday, 2/26. Dinners and such on Sundays beforehand.

PS Unrelated - When will I be upgraded to regular member 🙂
 
I think it takes 100 posts to be a full member, but I don't know, lol. If you want, that text is actually changable, you can have it say whatever you want 🙂.
 
The admin asst in the admissions office of MSPP said "interview invitations will be going out in the next week or so."
